Do you think Itachi could have been made Hokage?

I have a feeling that Hiruzen is gonna reveal something along those lines to Sasuke. That he was contemplating making his brother the Hokage of Konoha to diffuse the situation completely, also as a sign of restored faith in the Uchiha clan.

And that Danzo went behind his back without him knowing. Then he'll apologise for not taking action on Danzo even though he anticipated it and knew Danzo's true character. Just like how he never took action against Orochimaru even though he had actually killed so many children and people from Konoha for his experiments.

Hiruzen had a huge soft spot for people he cared about. That was his one true flaw. Even Enma ridiculed him for it.


Sasuke will realise that the one responsible has already paid the price(Danzo). Anyways I'm rambling now....

Regardless, it would have been the perfect way to end the animosity between the Uchiha and Konoha. Itachi would have also made a great Hokage, he and Shisui were the only Uchiha's in the leaf who carried the Will of Fire, they truly loved their village and strived for peace.

I think he was responsible for 95% of the bad sh!t that happened to Konoha. I have never seen a more selfish man. I really hate him.
