Because it is entertaining like reading a good book, then talking about it with your friends. It's just a topic. An online community consists of people who are interested in that specific story. They take it apart and like discussing it. Different opinions are always interesting. I wouldn't want to enjoy a book and not think about it after or ignore the feelings it gave me. A good story should inspire you and make you think about it.
