What did the younger brother get for being his successor that made the older brother mad he still had the rennagan and was strong and what did the younger brother do with being the successor

he just got the sages will, and recognition. he was charged to simply continue the sages lifestyle.(he didnt get any powerups or anything like that)


so simply think of the sage like a king. the king decided that he didnt like the first born sons view so he choose to bypass the normal, pass the kingdom on to the eldest son, and pass it on to his younger son instead. So then the eldest feels betrayed, and fights the ypounger to attempt to gain the right.
