Can Amaterasu burn kyubbi cloak?

Well I don't have an explanation or anything but I thought this question would be good for a discussion.

As said in the title. Can Amataerasu burn the kyubbi cloak?

edit:Also even if the kyubbi cloak was hit do you think it would be of any help in the fight ?

I ask this because as we all know Naruto has the ability to shape his kyubbi cloak. Ex. Extended and make extra arms and make a complete kyubbi out of chakra.


Well anyways do you think if sasuke shot the cloak with Amaterasu it would start to consume the cloak?

On the one hand it's pure chakra that's radiating and that makes it difficult to decide if it would be consumed by the flames.

On the other in the fight sasuke vs itachi Amaterasu burned sasukes fireball jutsu which is technically fire made from chakra.


I think if the flame is able to burn the cloak it can put naruto at a bit disadvantage because naruto won't be able to use a biju bomb because the gaint chakra cloak that takes the shape of a kyubbi would be to easy to hit by sasuke as we saw in sasuke vs killer bee, where bee was just to easy to hit with Amaterasu.

So yea post your thoughts please.

Hmmm since it's chakra it can be reshaped or drown back in case of amaterasu.And chakra is a form of energy I don't think it has a physical substance for amaterasu to burn.

When Naruto and Bee were in the forest fighting the other Edo-jinchuuriki's, the 4 tails had transformed his body into lava and hit Naruto in the face. He scorched him and left a burn, so it's very much possible for him to be burned by Amaterasu.

It probably would, but it would decrease the power of said burning drastically. But I mean it's a chakra cloak, couldn't he just release his mode and call it again?

Does chakra have a physical form? if it does it can be burnt by Amaterasu. I honestly don't know if it does or not.

However if I am not mistaken the chakra cloak is made from chakra constantly streaming out from the body. So to keep burning the cloak away the amaterasu would need to be constantly channeled.

Also I don't think the power of cloak comes from the cloak itself. the cloak is just excess chakra that oozes from the body. This means that it would be more effective to focus the body where the chakra is emitting from.
