Gonna say this since people have a bad habit of reading what I say and then hearing what they want to hear. I am not taking full credit of everything posted here. As I said I was researching the SO6P's Creation of all things Jutsu and came across the Yin/Yang Release and was having a hard time figuring out its relevance within the Naruto Series. I merely took what was posted on the Wiki and expanded on it, I am not here trying to introduce Yin/Yang Chakra to you guys, anyone with a mouse and keyboard can Google the term and find out that I didnt just make this stuff up. What I am looking for is some theoretical minds to help me put together the puzzle the is the Yin/Yang Releases.... A Disclaimer like this really shouldn't be necessary...
After a long look into the Creation of All Things jutsu I decided to think hard about the uses of the Yin and Yang Releases and how they work, the following is the most reasonable way I think it would work, all of which are based on Canon Knowledge. I plan on updating this when I can as I get feedback from you guys, so far this is what I have been able to piece together of the Yin/Yang Releases. Feel free to tell me what you think and leave feedback on things I can change
Chakra
The way Chakra is formed is by combining the Physical Energies found in every cell in the human body(Yang) with the Spiritual Energies(Yin) which is formed through training and experiences. These two energies are then merged within the body to create Chakra, which is then used in different ways to produce Jutsu's.
My Theory on this:
It is my theory that although you can merge the two energies in order to create Chakra you can also tap directly into the Energies and use them directly to create certain jutsu's, and on very rare occasion a ninja can tap into both at the same time creating a jutsu of epic proportions.
Yin Release
The Yin Release is based on the spiritual energies that governs the imagination and allows the user to make things act contrary to there nature or even create things out of nothing. It is a reflection of dreams as like in a dream you can control everything that happens but that control is limit to your level of understanding within said dream. For instance we all have dreams, but you rarely have dreams where you know your dreaming, once you know your dreaming you can then change things or how people act or respond but you can really change black into white or anything like that because the further your dream splits from reality the more you risk waking yourself up from the dream. and allows the user to make things act contrary to there nature or even create things out of nothing.
So the Yin Side of Chakra reflects the dreamlike element of jutsu's, it allows you to take something unreal and cause things that normal would never happen, happen.
Some good examples of this would be:
Genjutsu - All Genjutsu are the best examples of using the Yin Release as they pull your opponent into your dreams where you can make anything reality depending on your control of the dream..
Tsunade's Yin Seal - Tsunade performs this technique by sealing the Yin energies leaving only her yang, which would explain why she does not use any jutsu's except those that require yang energies and medical ninjutsu. Upon releasing the seal her body is flooded with Yin Chakra and with it she is able to make her body do things that would normally never happen, not only causing her skin and muscle tissue to regenerate but all regenerating bones and internal organs as well.
RDS (Reaper Death Seal) - Conjures up a Spiritual Reaper/Shinigama that upon grabbing an opponent will seal there soul away for eternity.
The Yamanake's Clans - There mind swap jutsu also requires mostly if not only spiritual Yin Energies.
Yang Release
The Yang Release relates to the physical energies that govern life and vitality and grants the ability to breathe life into things that are normally stagnant and immobile.
It is known that when Minato sealed Kurama he sealed the Yin part of its chakra with the RDS jutsu while sealing the Yang side of its chakra within Naruto. The fact that he has a lot more Yang Chakra than he has Yin could explain why he is so terrible at complicated jutsu that rely on a precise mixtures of both Yin and Yang and yet he excels at jutsu that require majorly, if not only, Yang Chakra like the Rasengan or Clones.
Some good examples of this would be:
Gate Related Jutsu These are jutsu that pertain solely to the Yang Energies within the body that can be as the user see's fit. A great example of this would be Hidorama which isnt Chakra but a Chakra like blast that requires only physical energies.
Medical Ninjutsu The physical forming of chakra is based on the yang energies much like hidorama.
Nara Clans Shadow Manipulation Jutsu - The Nara Clan have the ability to bring there shadows to life causing them to move freely linking them with whoever's shadow there shadow touch and keeping them from moving.
Summonings - Deal with Yang Release physically moving objects and entities from one place to another through a bond made between the two, this may require some yin chakra but most likely very litlte.
Chakra Release
Alot of of jutsu in the Series merge the two energies the yin and the yang to form chakra which can be used to form different kinds and types of jutsu's.
A Broad example of this would be:
All Elemental Jutsu's - Which allow the user bring life into the elements causing them to move according to the users desires, at times to such an extent that they can cause said objects to take on life like forms, such as Sasuke's "Kirin". And at times Ninja can even create there own Elements much like Kisame's exploding water colliding wave jutsu or a Fireball jutsu.
Yin and Yang Release
This shouldnt be misunderstood as being the same as the Chakra release. Think of it like this, You can look at something with both of your eyes(Chakra Release), you can also look at something with just your left eye(Yang Release) or with just your right eye(Yin Release), but you can also look at two different things with both eyes at the same time(Yin/Yang Release).
It is rare to find jutsu that actively use both Releases at the same time, to be able to do so would mean to be able to create things in the real physical world purely based on your imaginations. There are only 2 known jutsu that utilize both releases and they are as follows:
Creation of All Things Jutsu - It is said that with this jutsu the SO6P was able to make his dreams reality. It is with this jutsu that he was able to turn the chakra that he had taken out of the 10 tails and turn them into physical beings.
Izanagi - Is a Genjutsu that requires no contact but for a short period of time turns reality (within a certain radius of the user) into a living genjutsu which he can alter or manipulate as he see's fit.
