Ok.....the anime wasn't that bad.....

Just watched 297. It was a rather emotional episode. Can't believe Gaara's father would do all those things to his own son, Jinchuuriki or not, good thing his Mother always loved him. Poor Yashamaru.

I still think the art is lacking. And the voice actors aren't doing a good enough job. But overall it was a good episode.

Why are they rushing things so much? They should keep the old part 1 pace, so that every moment has significance. Thats my problem.

You didn't know that Gaara's dad did all of that. I'm fairly certain that the vast majority of that information was revealed during the Chunin Exams. Granted they expanded on what happened and gave some back story, but I think everybody knew that Gaara was a tortured mess before episode 297.

And read the manga. You won't be as surprised when the anime comes out, but it is a more consistent product.

I do read it, although I wish I didn't. Takes some fun out of the anime, which is what I'm really interested in.

Great episode Animation was decent It was emotional too I didn't really care for Gaara in the manga I know the story is the same but you know it is more emotional and strong with music, voices and well movement.

What I don't understand is, why would they keep spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on fillers when no one likes them and some, like me, don't even watch them. They could use that money on the real story and it could be a 100 times better.

I dont really care for any emotional stuff, but I like the overarching lessons the story brings. "What would you do for the good of the whole"? "Is it necessarily right to sacrifice one, to save the majority"? These things are what make naruto such a good story to me. There are no clear lines of black and white in life. Just like how a lot of fans questions why would the fourth hokage seal kurama into naruto way before we knew he was naruto's father, or any of the other info. We didn't know the circumstances exactly as they appeared to us from the kyubi flashback. I think it was good that gaara understood why his father made those decisions.

We can say all we want about what is "evil", "bad", or anything from our view at a later time, but until you step into someone's shoes and try and see if you can solve all of their world's problems like they did. I think it was awesome that Gaara had the heart and was willing to forgive his father like naruto, who never hated his parents but also was just a little upset with them. What kishi wants us to realize, is that people actually have reasons for the things that they do. Think about that before you judge someone. Try and put yourself in their situation.
Naruto Episode 297: 7/10 Good one this week.

Anyways yeah I enjoyed it...since it is the animation team's job to animate I'd think they'd use the high quality animation all the time .

Anyways it was a good episode as we are back from the downward slope that became the Chikara arc.
