Jiraiya better off dead or alive?

Do you think there are more pros or more cons of Jiraiya's death?
For example, Naruto wouldn't have attained Sage Mode if Jiraiya hadn't died or he would've learned it much later in his life?

Quite possibly more pros, Naruto would likely still have learned Sage Mode, in high probability being urged by Jiraiya to do so though without the motivation of his death, Naruto may have never come to such achievement with Sage mode as he did because of it.

if he survived the attack i think he still would of learnt sage mode because jairaya would of suggested it to him and took him to the toad sages.

I doubt Jiraiya would've urged Naruto to learn SM, considering the risk of turning into a stone toad for eternity...

If Naruto learned Sage Mode and Jiraiya was still alive that'd be some major powers in the war, but I think his death gave Naruto a new sort of strength in a way.

I hope Jiraiya stays dead. Tsunade is needed way more than Jiraiya atm.

He played his part in the story and now his part is over. I would be annoyed if he was brought back - he died a heroic death. Plus dead people should stay dead instead of getting resurrected again >_<

Naruto would probably have learnt Sage mode, but it would probably have been later in his life (though that depends on what would happen in the meantime). Jiraiya's death gave him the needed push to train harder.

Loved Jiraya. Or I actually started liking him more after he died for some reason (Guess that's how we work) but I think his death had a very important part of Naruto, therefor I do hope he stays dead.
