Think about this. Why did Kishi make this 3 follow Sasuke to the place? Now relate back to what Kabuto told Sasuke about him having good taste to pick them becos of their:

1. Senjutsu
2. Water-style body
3. Uzumaki DNA

I think we can guess Kishi is hinting Sasuke gonna need the aid of Orochimaru to draw the power of the 3 of them to himself. Becos at this point in time, if the 3 of them are not needed, they wouldnt have followed Sasuke for nothong, right.

All I remember is that Kishimoto's editors ordered him to create companions for Sasuke, so he made Taka. For the same reason Wybie was created for Coraline when they made the movie Coraline (but the real reason is that one of the producers wanted the movie to have lots of kids and Wybie was a compromise) but it turned out it was useful to the story for Coraline to have someone to talk to. Kishimoto said the same thing, Sasuke needed someone to talk to and interact with. His treatment of them during the Five Kage Summit was a good way of revealing how far into the dark side he'd plunged.
