Realizations of the world stalk Orochimaru and Kabuto; it is why they wanted Sasuke. The eyes, and body both contain secrets that are documented in the Naka Shrine—the tablet of the Uchiha. Carefully note that Madara Uchiha never returned to Konohagakure after his battle Hashirama Senju; signifying two very important things: Madara Uchiha only examined the tablet visible to the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan—Madara never inscribed his results on the tablet, indicating the Uchiha have a secret detailing the body in addition to the eyes.[

] Hypothesis:
Think back to everything that has been mentioned thus far:
- The Jūbi is Senjutsu, and also is the ancestor of the world. It is nature.
- Rikudō Sennin attained the power of a God by becoming the Jinchūriki of the primordial entity; nature.
- This power found itself in the bijū, and the descendants of Rikudō Sennin: Senju, and Uchiha.
- Orochimaru plan is to gain the power of Rikudō Sennin, and learn everything about the world or nature
Orochimaru discovered from Jūgo, the power to passively absorbing natural energy at Ryūchidō—which is a location dealing in Senjutsu. However, Orochimaru lacked the body to host such power; leading him to create a mechanism grounded from experimentations on Jūgo, the Curse Seals. Orochimaru lacked the body that could withstand the force of nature, and through the Curse Seal he found bodies that could take in and endure the force of nature of itself. The Uchiha have a body that when met with Senju genetic material, completes their Dōjutsu, and it is a body that can also hold the force of nature. However, what makes Sasuke different from other Uchiha? The quality of his chakra is the most potent in the clan’s history aside from Madara’s—which alone bolsters his innate abilities to a higher degree.
Orochimaru wants Sasuke’s body because it literally acts a tool to achieve both halves of Orochimaru’s goals: to create new techniques, and discover the truth behind the nature itself.
The Uchiha as well as the Senju, and Uzumaki are all derived from a man who was essentially the world itself as the Jinchūriki that contained pure natural energy; Jūbi. They all received parts of that power, they are all capable of using Senjutsu; the act of bearing the force of nature.
The Uchiha inherited the Sage's "eyes" — his powerful chakra and spiritual energy, the Senju inherited the Sage's "body" — life force and physical energy.
Oddly enough, the locations that teach Senjutsu have differing principles.

- The user's Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu become more powerful.
- The user can harness the natural energy surrounding them, turning it into an extension of their body, which increases the reach of their attacks and the ability to sense chakra surrounding them.
Essentially coinciding with their inheritance of Yang.
Ryūchidō grants its users the following:
- The user's Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu becomes more powerful.
- The user gains further access to snake anatomy, such as their brille, which can be used to lock out light as well as stop visual-based Genjutsu from affecting them.
- The user's perception abilities, reflexes, strength, speed, and stamina dramatically increase.
Essentially coinciding with their inheritance of Yin.
There are two clans birthed from the sons, each gained a different power of Rikudō Sennin: one inherited the perceptional abilities, while the other inherited corporeal abilities.
There are two practices of Senjutsu: one increasing bodily attributes, and the other increasing perceptional abilities.

Conclusion:
There are two ways to recover Rikudō’s power:
- Bring both powers together, so that the “body” and “eyes” are in totality; essentially Madara and Obito’s plan.
- Acquire all the Senjutsu’s, through an Uchiha body capable of enduring the force of nature to—which is Orochimaru’s/Kabuto’s plan.
