I feel itachi's way of analyzing things would help him a lot and he would realize that nagtao was controlling them because after all, he was head of the anbu black opps at age 13

Obito (Rinnegan) and Madara (EMS or Edo) handle Itachi with little difficulty. Sasuke and Obito (MS) beat him high diff.

Genjutsu wouldn't work against Pain, because they are 6. But then Itachi got susano and amaterasu, pain got the summoning jutsus, shenrai tensei, etc....

EMS Madara.
I just really don't see him losing to the likes of Obito, no matter how powerful he is, he's really not the fodderizing type.
