If he was truly seeking the tablet that he knew was in the shrine then he wouldn't ask that question, Sasuke didn't have intentions to read the tablet.

But that's the problem..Sasuke only knows the person he is seeking not the place...that's why needs Oro to take him there.

Isn't it absurd that he was asking "is it here?" in ch. 617 if he knew that the tablet was supposed to be in the shrine in the fist place, he went there already when he was a kid. What he suddenly got amnesia? isn't it more probable that he's seeking something else.

I was just arguing that even if the tablet was in one piece, Sasuke wouldn't search for it bases on his dialogue.

Why would he be surprised? if his intention was really to read the tablet in the shrine then he wouldn't question its' location at all, he knew where the Naka Shrine is and he knows where the secreet meeting room is.

I know, whatever that "object" Sasuke is seeking, he will obviously use it in conjunction with the scroll that would allow him to meet this certain someone.
