Unseelie's Unwelcoming

The second one sets foot outside of Dawnport and heads West, they are met with the impending sight of an overbearing, dark treeline. Once there were simple direwolves and syuclents inhabiting the surrounding Cedar Forest, but even a novice can tell at a glance that this isn't the Cedar Forest. Despite only appearing during the Cataclysm two years ago, this forest is unmistakably far more ancient and mysterious than anything else in Kamiyasumi. A paradox that has lured many unprepared souls into it's beckoning woods never to be seen again.

The woods are inhabited by a myriad of unknown creatures who call themselves the Unseelie. Some possess appearances that resemble twisted humanoids, while others are entirely alien, appearing closer to insects and arachnids than humans. Regardless of their appearance, they have a lethally warped desire to have "fun" with anyone who treads upon their land.

As a part of the Fae Domain of Tírnan, any and all attempts to perform Jutsu and techniques that seek to directly influence, alter or draw from the land are met with immediate failure. These include altering the environment with Earth, Water and similar Elemental Releases, as well as the gathering of Natural Energy, for Modes like Sage Mode and Dokkodo.

Storyboard Mission Element(s):
  • Explore a dangerous site
Alucard and Lilith would venture deeper into the unexplored Outer Lands. Westwards of the Beachhead, the two would find themselves in a large section of a gradient forest landscape. This place was so densely packed with trees that darkness crippled most of the area shrouded in the woods even on a clear sunny day such as this.

Ah, a stroll through the woods.. My favorite thing in the world.

Tsk, i thought i was your favorite thing in the world.

..Ah a stroll through the woods, my SECOND favorite thing in the world.

Nyaahh.

The two of them decided to head on inside of the vast forest and realized how it really wasn't anything in particular to it almost as a sign of a big let-down. Further into the forest there was quite scarce in diversity as the cedar trees occupied the most of it even though here and there other vegetation could be found as well. The biggest surprise of all that they found however was bones of a killed animal akin to that of a deer or alike. The fact that they had found evidence of life on the Outer Lands baffled them for a moment and in that very same moment, darkness fell. And with the darkness, this forest was transformed. Lilith walked closer to Alucard, who through his Tenseigan spotted wildlife for the first time since they had arrived other than seagulls. However, not only could he now see wolves but he could also hear a creepy noise washing over in the distance heading their way. This was nothing but an indication of trouble but Alucard was not afraid of anything but his alter ego and this was on thousand levels below a threat such as that.

Aoouuuuuuughh!!

Otosan, what was that?

It's a pack, stay close and watch the skies for me. Without flying! Stay next to me.

Hai.

From the heart of the cedar forest a pack of wolves were approaching, probably the very same pack that had hunted and killed the animal whoms remains they had found earlier. Alucard was on his guard, ready to face the wolves. The pack, containing six of them, would surround Alucard and Lilith. They were indeed clever creatures who had hunted before and had the teamwork built into their brains. However, they had not faced anything akin to that of Alucard before. A deity beyond that of a mortal man who's daughter was next to him and capable of erasing cities on her own if she so wished. With the wolves surrounding them, Lilith would speak with Alucard as she had caught wind of the swarm that closed the gap between them. This was no ordinary swarm of bugs and probably was a bigger threat than that of the wolves. The wind was howling and echoing throughout the forest. The sensation was staggering and any ordinary man would at this point run for their lives.. Alucard decided to act and focused his Kekkei Genkai, placing his hands on the ground to send a barrage of bones towards one of the wolves.

( Hone Gekido ) - Bone Rage
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user gathers chakra before releasing it from every point, releasing bone spikes from everywhere on their body, sticking out up to 3 meters each.

However, this action only acted as the catalyst for what was happening next. The targeted wolf was fast enough to dodge the onslaught of bones and instead moved closer to it's closest ally upon which all of them charged towards Alucard and Lilith at the same time. The two of them stood with their backs towards eachother, facing three sets of wolves each with the imminent threat from above approaching all sooner.

Tsk
Alucard utilized his Kekkei Genkai once more but this time on a larger scale and in a wide angle and longer range. Bones would excavate from the ground, catching all of the wolves infront of him in it's clutches.

( Inperiaru Hone Sousou ) - Imperial Bone Burial
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 35
Damage Points: 60
Description: By slamming both palms on the ground, the user forms a large amount of bone to begin wrapping around the targets as bones rise from beneath them. The technique covers a wide radius of effect, enough to wrap and crush numerous targets within short range, leaving a giant cone shaped cluster of bone in the center of a large crater.

The wolves cried out loud due to the crushing pain but Alucard showed mercy in a way by killing them off quickly as soon as they were caught in his technique. Lilith on the other hand merely placed her sword on the ground in order to achieve the very same effect as Alucards bone technique but instead it would be consisting of molten lava like metal. This would effectively kill the wolves she faced as well but they would suffer much much more since the were burned alive on the flash hot metal that pierced through their vital organs and ultimately consumed them. It was a quick but effective way of dealing with the first threat yet the second one remained.

(Gōruden'naitomea) - Golden Nightmare
Type: Weapon
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The Golden Nightmare is a sword made by parts of reinforced steel and liquid bismuth. This makes the sword able to shift in construction and turn into a hand-cannon due to the liquid parts of the construction. It will either start as a sword or a hand cannon at the beginning of an encounter. Both forms gives the user an enhanced passive trait to the bisumaton release, increasing it's damage by +20 and giving it additionally +10 chakra through a designated seal that is passively activated when it's master is either holding the blade/handcannon or has it sheathed. The seal fluctuates bismuth chakra through its masters body constantly and gives them an extremely faint rainbowy aura(which is just for visual effects).

Sword: The sword form is very beautiful with multitudes of colors and shining edges. The edge of the sword is partially liquid bismuth and partially hardened steel. Due the temperature of liquid bismuth the sword will inflict severe burns on contact with skin and cause great pain. It further enhances the swords cutting capability since it can melt away other elements(within reason, but rubbery and bouncy for example) that are in the way of the sharp steel. If placed on the ground with the hilt upwards and the edge planted in the foundation of the ground infront of the user it will release a large portion of liquid bismuth into the ground that will shape into half of a sphere. Using their ability to control the element, the user can then shape the underground sphere into large roots or trees around the battlefield that deals burning damage on touch. These roots can reach long range while the trees(depending on their length) can only reach mid-range. This causes S-rank damage. The trees can spread and create a miniature forest(about 30 meters big and 10 meters tall), entrapping foes. On touch it causes severe burns. While not dealing 80 damage on freeform, the sword can be used for standard kenjutsu techniques with the burning damage added to it. The user can, however, do freeform 80 damage kenjutsu moves but that will consume a moveslot.

Handcannon: The handcannon form of the Golden Nightmare is like the sword, very beautiful and contains the exact same parts as the sword. This handcannon can fire rounds made out of liquid bismuth. On impact, the bullets will not pierce their target but rather splat on the impact surface and spread across it. This causes severe pain and if shot on a limb it will immobilize it the metal is quite heavy. One single shot can spread all across a regular human-sized creature's torso all the way to their back and thus immobilizes their spine.
Regular gun rules apply and only one round can be shot each time-frame.

Note: A bullet and the sword does 80 damage following the S/W of Bisumaton and up to four bullets per match.
Note: Changing form of the sword costs a move-turn and the user must state in the beginning of a battle what form the Golden Nightmare has taken. If not, it's default as a sword.
Note: Can only be used by Skorm
Note: Utilizing the roots/tree application of the sword renders the user incapable of using the sword's other active abilities in the same and next turn.
Note: Firing a bullet, using the sword for an S-rank attack, or creating the roots render the user unable to use Bismuth Techniques above A-rank in the same turn.

Lilith's sword had, however, also created a thirty meter tall defense perimeter around the two of them facing the direction of the onslaught of the bugs. This swarm was cunning though and while some of them flew into the sudden formation of molten metal, a majority seemed to be able to dodge the clutches and flew straight above it only to dive straight towards the two of them. The mosquitoes were relentless, Alucard used his water release to form a stream of water that he used to kill off a bunch of them by pressure and drowning them. It was not a good idea indeed to use fire release this far into the forest and Lilith's molten metal was already starting to almost set on a large forest fire. Alucards water technique would also see to it that the metal was being cooled down by his water technique and thus erasing any chances that it would set the forest on fire.

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.

After some time, the two of them where out of danger, with the bugs crushed or drowned to death. Alucard was not amused with the choice of attack Lilith had used against the wolves and neither was she. She realized that it would've had serious consequences on the forest if it had started to spread a fire.

Gomenasai Otosan, i'll be more careful.

Well as long as you learn something, it's not a mistake.

Arigato..

The two of them continued on through the woods for some time.

Storyboard Mission Element(s):
  • Scout potential threats
Alucard and Lilith had reached the south east banks of the woods where they could make a lookout from the sea which was split into several individual markings. The two had walked through the forest the entire night, fending off against direwolves and incomprehensibly large mosquitoes. Thinking they would catch a break reaching the shore was a pipe dream for Alucard would be able to see chakra signs on the way across the ocean tides. From the east, not surprising given the fact that the Outer Lands was advertised throughout the flyers that were handed out at most various places on the continents. Question was, who could it be? An ally or an enemy? So far it was no chakra signatures that he was familiar with and after a closer look he could spot the very banner they were flagging on their mast.

Pirates

..Kaizoku?! How exciting!!

T'was indeed a Jolly Roger that was decorating their flag. Alucard continued scouting for more information about the incoming hostiles. It would seem that they had a small armada, containing three ships with one in the lead and two of it following on its left and right side. A band of approximately 50 men on each ship accounting for 150 people in total this was definitevely a force to be reckoned with.

To take on a force like this.. We'll have to bring the battle to them, i don't want the Outer Lands to become a battlefield just yet.

How will we fight them out in the sea?
Alucard continued to look on the enemy. It would seem like they all were equipped with explosive gunpowder for ordnance purposes. The amount they had carried with them was on a brutal level and could probably annihilate the entire forest or worse, the lighthouse that he and Lilith had already built back at the Beachhead. They also seemed to be equipped with siege gear and honestly at this point it was easily the most advanced nautic crew Alucard had ever seen before but luckily he knew how to bring the fight towards them.

We have our Vampire Squids, Kuchioyse No Jutsu!!
Alucard summoned two of the majestic beasts, Nahla and Kano. Both absolute giants in size, longer than the boats that the enemy was traveling on.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Nahla) Summoning Technique: Nahla
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description: Nahla is the biggest, oldest and wisest of the vampire squids and also the boss summoning of the contract. Stretching out 80 meters long, she can dwarf most aquatic summons and her eyes are as big as a large boulder. Her main abilities are using the generic vampire squid techniques which are varying from water techniques and using their blinding musk. Her gigantic tentacles along with the cap is able to cover huge grounds and being hit by said thing will be considered lethal. Since her skin is very quite durable and thus she cannot be harmed by lightning, water, earth B-rank and below but can be damaged by fire, lightning, and wind above B-rank. She is capable of using all water jutsus that the user knows(including customs and with a +20 damage bonus) as well as the signature disorienting Vampire Squid mucus that she would shoot out from her tentacles. The musk is extremely sticky and on touch will sting quite a lot. However if it gets into the system(mouth, eyes, ears etc) it causes nausea and leaves the victim blind for up to two turns. On physical contact it will remain very sticky and as previously mention give the user a sticky sensation. Like all Vampire Squids, Nahla possesses water pressure sensory. This is an asset that only works when submerged under water and lets the Vampire Squids feel pressure from up to Long-range and thus detect movement. Her main weaknesses are fire and wind, while her skin lets her tackle on most physical attacks as well as lightning, though strong variations considered doesn't make her invulnerable to physical attacks in the long-run.

Note: Can only be summoned once per battle.
Note: Lasts 4 turns.
Note: Getting struck by her tentacles or crushed under her body counts as S-ranked blunt damage.
Note: The mucus can be burned away or blown away by fire and wind with quite minimal effort (at least B-rank), but if inserted into the system or physically touched the effects remains. Musk also counts as S-ranked techniques.
Note: Must have signed the Vampire Squid contract and can only be summoned through the contract tattoo(smearing blood) or through a scroll.
Note: Can only be taught by Skorm

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kano) Summoning Technique: Kano
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description: Kano is a male vampire squid with a completely black skin. He's the most gifted ninjutsu user of the vampire squids and is a water style primary specialist. He can perform all canon suiton techniques. His water techniques will require a water source but after the first turn summoned, he will have passively generated a water source up to short-range for use. He cannot use the mucus, his tentacles are still able to generate quite the punch and gain gripping abilities on hard and even slippery surfaces. Kano means the god of water in japanese and is rightfully so fitting this vampire squid due to his mastery of the release. Although he's not as big as Nahla, he is still quite the beef and is about 70 meters tall including his tentacles. Kano is also a summon that is extremely fast underwater but does not depend on it as he easily can create his own water sources. He can swim as at twice the base speed of a Kage rank bio (x2). On land he is slow to move but his tentacles still have very rapid movement when it comes to it. As previously mentioned, vampire squids in general have high resistance to electricity and water but are weak towards fire. Kano can take on up to B-rank damage with ease. Other than that, Kano is so far the only male specimen found in the vampire squid realm. He's very smart and has lived a very long life even though it doesn't really seem like it due to his personality. He's very open to new technology and he, like all the other vampire squids are having their summon land of the Moon Isle.

Note: Can only be summoned once per battle.
Note: Lasts 4 turns.
Note: Getting struck by his tentacles or crushed under his body counts as S-ranked blunt damage.
Note: Must have signed the Vampire Squid contract and can only be summoned through the contract tattoo(smearing blood) or through a scroll.
Note: Can only be taught by Skorm

T's been a while, my lord.

Ah, if it isn't Alucard himself. We were just about to move in to our new home in the Lightning Mountains but it seems to me something is coming our way?
Indeed, the two squids both possessed the means to sense pressure within the water and could thus easily pinpoint the ships coming towards them all. Alucard jumped up on Nahla and Lilith onto Kano. They all sailed away to meet the opponents out into the sea.

Foreign sands from which the first signs of civilization had begun to grow upon immediately gave way to dense, heavy forestry with little time for acclimation. Thick canopies choked out the light with their overwhelming presence looming overhead. Though it was more to sate his idle curiosity, Emiya began his minor scouting operation to find out what kinds of life had taken root here in this unknown land. While the sheer density of the cedar forest gave one the impression that life was abundant here in the Outer Lands, what awaited him for the first several miles were naught but the sounds of his own hushed, cautious steps, the forest around him eerily quiet. From one overgrown coniferous to the next did the Binder creep, cautious not to disturb the surrounding in the event life had evolved and deviated so heavily from the norms he was used to so as to hunt or interact with the world around them in a manner that could only be described as alien to him, what awaited him, at least to begin with, was rather unexpected.

As he came upon a large cave-like structure nestled beneath a colossal tree, the entrance to which looked as though it were lifted straight out of a fantasy setting, it gave him the exciting chill like the tale of an adventurer delving into the depths of an unexplored cave system. Would there be a sprawling system that stretched beneath the land itself? Some powerful beast laying claim to the innermost sanctum? Would it instead lead to the remnants of some ancient civilization? It was all so enthralling that the reality, while still cool, brought him crashing back down to reality. As the sounds of faint buzzing from nearby insects droned on and on in his ears, Emiya laid eyes on a surprising large pack of, well, surprisingly large wolves; Dire wolves to be exact. Thankfully they were all fast asleep, meaning they primarily hunted under cover of dark. At least he knew this place had animals that resembled those found back in the east, if overgrown much like the forest itself. The existence of apex predators such as these implied the existence of more docile fauna, yet there weren't any in sight. There wouldn't be so close to the den of a pack of wolves, but still. Nary a rabbit or deer to be seen. With at least this much gleaned from his brief excursion into one small section of the extensive forest that seemed to cover the land, there was no doubt that there was more to learn here, so he left as quietly as he arrived, and pressed on.

As the minutes began to push into the hours, Emiya had covered a fair distance from camp, and had found little more than the den. One thing was curious however. The droning of insects. Try as he might, it was steadily getting louder, but there weren't any insects to be seen. It started as faint, distant, but now it was as though it were in his ear, yet there wasn't a single one in sight. It all became clear when the sound of flapping wings beating on the air like drums became a thunderous roar, and a shooting pain surged through his right shoulder, followed quickly by a sensation of the warmth leaving his body. Looking over his shoulder he could clearly see a massive needle-like appendage buried deep within his shoulder, and the mosquito-like creature that was currently draining him of all his lifeblood. Though it's proboscis had only penetrated his skin seconds ago, his arm was already beginning to lose color, feel cold and numb, and shrivel up like a carton of juice unable to quench it's drinker's thirst. While this revelation put into perspective the behavior of this land's apparent nocturnal apex predators, he couldn't truly appreciate it in the moment. It was clear that while the sun was up, these terrifying insects were king. Anything caught out and about while they hunted would be drained of every last drop. Even now, with an entire arm's worth of blood coursing through it, the Syuclent's abdomen was hardly satisfied, only showing the faintest traces of blood contained within. This thing could easily devour every last drop and still want for more. if that was the case, why bother letting it have it's way? With his right arm locked in place thanks to the terrifyingly large needle sticking into it, Emiya had to move fast, and with only the one arm. With a seal of confrontation formed, a series of terrifyingly gauche distortions in space time appeared from thin air, illuminating the dark undergrowth of the forest with an arrogant, glaring golden light. In an instant the mosquito found itself skewered from all angles, countless weapons fired in perfect synchronicity as to give it no way out, shredding it with surprising difficulty, as though it were made of sterner stuff that expected.

(Kingusugureivu ♗ Jūko) Kingsglaive ♘ Arquebus Arsenal
Type: Offensive/ Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short (Portal Creation) Mid (Portal Orbit) Long (Projectile)
Chakra: 20 (Activation) 5 (Per turn active)
Damage: 5 - 40 (Depending on the severity of an injury)
Description: The user starts by performing the Seal of Confrontation, drawing blood, channeling Chakra into their hand(s) and performs the Summoning Jutsu for a "Pact" they have with a distant, isolate Land engulfed in boundless armaments. However, instead of Summoning the weapons themselves, they create small Space/ Time Portals (similar to the kind formed in "(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop"), after which they use Shape Manipulation to mould these portals into flat ripple-like distortions in the air. Being composed entirely of the user's Chakra, the portals are weightless, and key characteristics such as the positioning, distance, angle, etc of the portals can be controlled by the user at will, granting them complete control over their arsenal. Unlike with the aforementioned technique however, the portals created for this technique are far less complex and intricate, making their creation easier, allowing the user to create more as a result. The user can create and maintain up to a max of 20 portals, and is able to freely manipulate the number of portals active at will, at no additional cost. Just like with Armiger Arsenal, the user can draw from the virtually infinite arsenal that the Land provides. The portals that the user creates are linked directly to the Land, but don't select specific weapons to arm the user with. Instead the Arquebus Arsenal allows the user to draw from any kind of weapon, usually at random, partially pulling that weapon through the portal, before suspending it in place, then, at the user's command, usually with some kind of gesture or a surge in their Chakra, the portal the weapon is suspended from contracts sharply, firing the chosen weapon at the user's designated target with great speed and precision. Due to the forced contraction of Space-Time firing the weapons like projectiles, the portals emit both a bright flash, and a loud explosive sound, clearly telegraphing which portals are firing. Once this is performed, the portal then selects a new weapon, and repeats this process for as long as the user wishes, or is able to sustain it. Finally, once the weapons have made contact with something tangible, they automatically start to disappear, however this is a slow process than the almost instant reaction the "Armiger Arsenal" possesses, taking 2 turns to slowly "fade away".

Note: This Jutsu can remain active so long as the user has the Chakra to sustain it. Once deactivated, this technique cannot be used for 2 turns.
Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ.

With the immediate danger passed Emiya reached beneath his right arm with his left hand, and tore the foreign draining appendage from his body, while his body's natural healing process was accelerated. While it did very little for the pain he was experiencing, having a gaping wound on his back wasn't ideal. At the same time he rummaged around in his various pouches until he found a small bottle containing a number of small red pills, taking one immediately.

( Iryō Ninjutsu: Saibō no saisei ) - Medical Technique: Cellular regeneration
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A (can negate up to 60 points)
Description: The medical ninja forcibly controls the cell cycle of the target tissue, causing rapid proliferation of the cells, thereby regenerating the tissue. This is done by infusing the cells of the target tissue with the users own healing chakra, potentiating mitosis and tissue growth. The drawback of this technique is that its not actually a healing technique but a tissue growth technique. It can serve to grow missing tissue but it cannot heal in the truth essence of the word and in essence is a much simpler application of the Mystic Palm technique.

(Ketsueki no Zōka Piru) Blood Replenishing Pill
Type: Healing
Description and Background: Contains high concentrations of amino acids, iron and mitosis inducing enzymes designed to turbo boost the production of erythrocytes from haematopoetic stem cells in the human body. This pill alleviates and cancels the symptoms of blood loss after one turn. These pills are a basic medicine medical ninjas use or administer in combat and are essentially dark red small round pills which are swallowed and absorbed through the mucosa in the stomach.

Description of Side Effects:
-Taking 2 pills leads to increased blood pressure, and increased likelihood of blood clots forming, specially through trauma.
-Taking 3 pills over stresses the cardiovascular system and causes fainting from lack of blood to the head after 4 turns.
-Costs a move per turn to use.

The loss of blood from even that brief exchange was alarming to say the least, and with the effective loss of one arm it made more traditional combat out of the question until he was properly restored. This process would take time, so until then, if he came across any more the name of the game was ranged warfare via the Gates of Babylon, and failing that one of attrition, and guerilla tactics. These things were fast, and dangerous in close quarters, and being hit in a vital spot, especially the torso, would mean swift death from the sheer volume he stood to lose. As the sound of many more distant wings drew closer, he knew he mad mere moments to either prepare to fight, or flee. As one of these things had nearly sucked him dry in seconds, he wasn't keen on standing his ground. He'd sated his curiosity for the moment, as simply discovering these threats were exactly what he'd hoped to discover when he left the beachhead. Simply knowing that these things were an extant threat that simple walls couldn't keep out was enough, so he made a swift retreat from the area, using the ambient Prana in his system to perform short-range teleports until he was certain he'd covered enough distance to be safe from pursuit. With his wounds still recovering, he decided it'd be best to wait until what traces of his injuries were left were gone before returning to Humanity's growing hub on the coast.

Type:
Offensive/ Supplementary

Upon her arrival into the Foothold, Mirabelle would breathe in and out at the sight of the new scenery. In her hands she possessed a small book, which she was writing small notes. It was mostly for points of interest, but at the time being it seemed rather…quiet. Nothing noteworthy was nearby, but alas she noticed nearby on the beach, a certain red haired fellow resided not too far away. As a smile grew on her face, she silently approached Emiya, she would notice the injury he sustained quite immediately. “You look like shit”, she said bluntly but also with an underlying attempt at a light jab. She would have taken a seat next to the young hero, her eyes beaming into the distance. “So, what brings us to these far far lands?” she asked, looking into the sky above. “Sorry I couldn’t stop Isabella from…well…fucking up” she said bluntly, as she looked over at him. As the two continued to talk, within Mirabelle her partner – the Nibi would be quite uncomfortable.

Mira…” the beast started to speak, causing the mental scape version of Mirabelle to look at her with a face of concern. “Yes? Is something wrong?” she asked, causing the Nibi’s posture to change. “Yes…actually…something about this place…doesn’t feel right…” the Nibi commented in a rather vague tone. Mirabelle’s brow raised in confusion. “Ok…? Stop being cryptic…what’s wrong?” she attempted to probe more into the Nibi’s worries. The beast growled in annoyance, as it felt something tugging at it. “It’s coming from near here…I don’t know what it is…but I don’t like it…” Nibi said, causing Mirabelle’s mental self to shrug in confusion. Never the less, she continued to have her conversation with Emiya.

Shoulder still stiff from the recent invasion of it's inner workings but recovering well, Emiya was thankful for his body's unique defenses against unknown dangers, the Prana in his system automatically transporting these unseen threats directly to the Throne before they can wreak havoc upon his system. If a regular mosquito could cause so much harm through a simple bite back over in the East, it was frightening to consider what these monsters were capable of. As he was enjoying this small break after the equally brief recon attempt, a teasing tone sprung forth from the direction of Humanity's encampment off in the distance.

"And you're late, and not even fashionably like I was."

While true, that he had seen better days, Emiya had also seen worse. Kythira, Irkalla, the Forge. Any one of them eclipsed the "shitiness" of this situation by far. By comparison this was but a bug's bite. With Mira's question regarding his presence here, Emiya spoke generally, referencing the notice posted by the "wealthy benefactor from Veskals", the exact identity of this figure being easily discernible to any who've had dealings with the mercantile hub.

"Oh you know, the usual. End of the world, saving humanity, a Champion's work's never done, all that stuff. That call to arms from telling able-bodied adventurers to gather here couldn't have come from anyone other than Spider, and if he's involved given else he's been involved in lately, Solomon is too. If Solomon's involved, the Voidlords are up to something. Not particularly interesting motivation, I know, but I'm a simple guy with an easily understood dream."

As Mira brought up Isabella, a sigh escaped his lips, exhausted of the topic of death and it's prevalence in his life of late.

"About that. I'll do my best not to hold it against her. She probably had her reasons. I was just so angry. It's hard, dedicating your life to saving people, everyone you can, and just... Watching them die, and nothing can be done about it. From what I understand everyone who was supposed to die didn't thanks to the plague. It paradoxically saved everyone as it infected them, when I, someone who claims to save lives, couldn't. It doesn't matter that he changed it to allow for death to occur once more, the fact he could even even do that to begin with is more than anyone could ever hope to fight, much less achieve themselves.

Demetrias challenged me with something similar in an attempt to get me to understand them. How, thanks to Phetra and the shattering of the Domain of Death, people couldn't die anymore. He justified their actions because of the outcome, with little to no regard for the millions of innocent people they've trampled over to get there. Consequentialism at it's finest... My old man would be proud. At the time I didn't have an answer to that, and he very nearly convinced me. Honestly I still don't have a good answer. My only answer was to put everyone else above myself, but could have easily ended in a worst case scenario for all of us. So it's hard to hold it against her when the Voidlords tend to have a point, especially in the moment. Doesn't mean I'm happy with the outcome, cause maybe things could have ended differently with either of us there, but it can't be be helped."

As the two conversed, Emiya was slowly but surely regaining function within his arm, the color returning to the exsanguinated limb as swiftly as it was drained. Once he felt it was close to it's peak, he began testing the appendage, ensuring there were no long-lasting effects, doing his due diligence as it were, just in case.

Mirabelle remained silent, she wanted to allow Emiya to have the floor for the moment. She heard about his interaction with Demetrias and also allowed her to see a bit more into his idealism. She continued to gaze out in the distance, until he finished speak, to which she then allowed small smile to become plastered on it. “Believe me…I had a similar mindset growing up…” Mirabelle thought how she’d approach this side of the conversation. She however decided to not skip on the details as much as she could. “My father always taught me that, taking no action is the worst kind of action. And that’s honestly where I am…I remained completely idle…and in some cases…ran away from it” she laughed in a nervous tone, which soon faded as she caught herself. “Now? I dedicate myself to becoming a far more competent person, wanting to protect others as much as I can. Saving everyone is beautiful dream in a idealistic world…but e live in a realistic world where someone can just…snap his fingers and caused hundreds to die so easily…” she said, scratching at the surface of the sand.

It’s hard to tell what’s real from fake…but I do know as of now I will fully intend on becoming a better version of myself. Even if it means sacrificing a few to save the collective...it will at least allow humanity to thrive” she said bluntly. Mirabelle shrugged the feeling off, as she turned to look at the cave not so far behind her. “You been in there already?” she asked, curious of his recent actions.

Emiya returned the favor, allowing Mira to speak her mind. Clearly, between the two of them, the pressures of the world were taking their toll. One burdened by a goal he may never achieve, the other seemingly hesitant to take her first steps towards it. As she laid bare her intentions, for her to so casually declare that she would sacrifice the few to save the many, once more he saw his father's imprints on the world. Yes it was more realistic, but were was the line drawn? If she could end this pointless war today by sacrificing Emiya, would she do it? Solomon? Anyone else dear or close to her, if it meant a permanent end to the suffering inflicted by the Voidlords? From a purely utilitarian point of view, if she were to sacrifice the 100 people most close to her to save the remaining millions left in the world, that would be a morally justifiable, if not completely righteous and humane act. It was a slippery slope, but she didn't come to Emiya to receive a lecture on ethics. This was bordering on something more akin to a crisis of faith, and so she was more in need of affirmation of her beliefs. Sadly, Emiya still disagreed on principle, and made that known.

"It's commendable that you're a realist, but don't be so quick to sacrifice others is all I'd ask. It's never always an option but sometimes, if you're lucky, there can be days where everybody lives. Everybody gets to be happy. To me it's not wrong to fight to make every day like those, and a better version of yourself should be able to do it. You're already a pretty admirable person, so in bettering yourself, I honestly believe you could do anything."

Though somewhat cheesy, Emiya gave no word of lie. Despite whatever failings she was perceiving in her way, she still confronted Solomon himself to make it to Kythira after his kidnapping, after they only just met and barely knew one another. Those were not the actions of someone so jaded by "reality" that they'd be easily willing to change the tracks on a broken trolley to kill one person instead of five. More likely to happen was she'd destroy the trolley in a dazzling display and grand entrance, killing all parties, and looking fabulous while doing so... Chuckling to himself just picturing the scene, Mira's question regarding the cave over yonder brought him back from his dalliances.

"Just some overgrown dogs, nothing to be concerned about during the day, and the walls should keep them out at night. We do have a bit of a rampant bug problem however."

Gesturing to his shoulder where he'd been stabbed before, he continued.

"Didn't occur to me to wonder if the heavy buzzing of wings came from insects as large as the direwolves in the cave. Seems like everything here might be a bit larger than we're used to. Damn thing nearly bled me dry in just a few seconds, and could have gone for seconds. Since the forest was almost entirely silent apart from the mosquitos, I figure everything else goes to sleep while they're active, so they don't get bled quite as easily. We might need to get some ranged defenses set up, since they're going to be able to fly straight over the walls..."

Emiya's voice trailed off as he began mentally planning some additions to the battlement's he'd installed earlier. Nothing particularly amazing, just enough to ensure their position wasn't in danger of being overrun with a swarm of hungry, exsanguinating insects the size of cattle.

"Might need to teach some of the people here how to shoot properly, but I'm sure we won't be in much danger if we don't get careless. Need to remember this is uncharted territory, not a vacation."

This post begins a mission utilizing the following element(s):

  • Investigate new foreign location(s) – C Rank
  • Hunt down new unfamiliar creatures – B Rank

Baha, me? A realist? No no my dear, I’m more of idealist more than anything…but I suppose you do a have a valid point…” she commented back at his notion of her being a realist. She was far from that, quite the opposite, an attribute even seen in her title. “The Sage of Artistry and Ideation…” she thought to herself, a small hint of blush appearing on her cheeks as Emiya also complimented her. “Thank you…I suppose you’re pretty good yourself!” she admitted though she personally never seem Emiya battle. He would have directed her attention back to the cave, saying something about overgrown dogs and violent mosquitoes. She thought for a moment, thinking to herself maybe it was time she got into action while here. “Well, I did put a dragon familiar of mind in charge of aerial defenses. I’m sure he can handle them…but…” her curious nature decided to allow her to get up and get closer to the cave.

Down for a little hunting? Would be interesting to dissect them…see what makes em thick” she said, as she held her hand out, and from the script located on her palm – the sudden appearance of a bow occurred. This was the maiden’s personal bow, one of which she hasn’t used in some time. She would have quickly channeled chakra into the bow, allowing her to prime the bow to shoot arrows out more quickly than before. As she crept into the cave, the first thing she noticed or heard was the sound of what appears to be soft howls. She utilized chakra into her feet, silencing her movement as she walked past them and further into the cave. “I don’t see anything quite yet…” she said softly, until she heard the approaching buzzing noises. “Shit…” she said, watching one of the large fucks on the ground, as she quickly took an arrow from the quiver she summoned alongside the bow. She infused chakra into the seal, allowing a seal composed of Black Lightning to appear as she released the arrow quickly. It would soar through the air, striking the beast in the head directly. “Now that wasn’t too hard was it?” she asked outloud…until she heard more buzzing noises.

Uh oh…” she said, running back quickly outside as platoon of them started to chase her out. “Emiyaaaaa a little help please!” she shouted to him.

(Sogeki no Geijutsu: Shushō)- Sniper Art: Prime
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user enhances his bow with chakra so it may shoot arrows faster and more accurately. Only doujutsu can follow the speed of the arrows and the effect of this jutsu can be increased if used more than once.
-Lasts for 3 turns
(Muon Satsujin Jutsu) - Silent Homicide Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: Muon Satsujin Jutsu, the ability to commit a silent homicide, is a technique to dispatch your foe with no warning. Your quick speed and skills will instantly kill them before they can provide a defense. Best tactic is when used with Hidden Mist jutsu. The technique works by having the user focus his chakra and his complete attention on moving fluidly, rapidly but muffling any sound he may make while moving as well as his presence, etc. It doesn't suppress his chakra or hides it but it can make the opponent virtually undetected if he manages to get on the opponents blind spot.
(Mayonaka ) Midnight
Type: Weapon
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: N/A (20)
Damage: N/A (40)
Description: Mayonaka is a powerful bow that was handcrafted by Mirabelle Nariyuki. Her desire to create a weapon that suites her combat prowess as an archer allowed her to create this weapon. Through the assistance of her mentor, Paradox, a very cryptic weapons master – she was able to finally establish and create a bow that surpassed any of her previous weaponry. The bow itself is rather basic in design – being a sleek black coloration, having a somewhat glass like finish to it . The quiver associated with the bow rests on her hip usually but can be used in any fashion she desired such as on her back. The bow’s design is strong enough to resist one S rank attack or two A ranks before shattering to another technique afterwards. The bow itself is highly focused with its design of combining fuinjutsu and archery into one. These can be found below, with some of it revolving the bow itself and the quiver tied in.

Against the Fleeing Light (N/A) – Considered the most basic ability of the bow, is passive in nature and doesn’t require a move slot. Located on the bow and within the quiver are two seals, modified version of the “Lightning Blade Creation Seal”. Upon the user taking an arrow out from the quiver, it is immediately replaced with another in order to keep the user’s arsenal of arrows continuously filled. This allows the user to summon forth any kind of arrow she has access towards, though the quiver itself utilizes unique arrows as well. These unique arrows are adaptive by nature – meaning that they are capable of transforming into any kind of arrow the user might need in combat. This includes special arrows for custom fighting styles etc those allowing for the user to complete have access to their arsenal to the fullest capacity. This also extends to techniques that create chakra based arrows, causing adaptive arrows to absorb the chakra nature of the user and transforming into the needed arrow while the bow itself acts as the chakra bow or even turning into other types of bows for other styles if any is needed to be formed. The other seal is located on the bow itself, allowing the user to seal and unseal the bow into the palm if needed or to put away when not in use or to avoid someone trying to steal it. This doesn’t cost a move as well, though most at least be within ten meters of the weapon to do so.

Stellar Predator (N/A) – The secondary and final passive of the bow, located on the golden accents of the bow. This is an empowerment, with a seal that is passively activated each time the user utilizes a technique or skill from the bow. The seal passively siphons an additional amount of chakra from the user (+10) in order to enhance the strength of the bow and arrow. This acts as a means to increase the damage of these techniques by +1 rank or +20 DMG for techniques S rank and above in power.

Bolts of Downfall (D – S) – The first active ability of the bow, in which utilizes a seal marked “energize”. Upon preparing to fire an arrow, the user can activate this seal – which causes an elemental nature or other nature transformation the user has access towards to be released. The seal then infuses the bow with said elemental nature, creating a coating around it. Once the arrow is released it soars through the skies at the intended target. The coating causes the arrow to gain the elemental properties of the chosen nature, that when striking them will react in a way the element normally does (such as fire burning the opponent, lightning shocking the opponent) etc. This can also be applied to Custom Elements or Advanced Elements. D to B rank can be used any amount of times per battle, while A rank can only be used thrice and S rank twice. A rank causes this technique to go on cooldown for two turns before utilizing it again while S rank causes this same cooldown but for three turns instead. Stellar Predator's damage increase doesn’t apply to this ability. These arrows are fired up to long range, with the coatings being applied at a short range.

Gaze of the Deep (A) - The second active ability of the bow, the user is capable of activating a seal marked as “protection ” on the bow . By activating the seal, a spherical barrier of chakra will immediately form around the user (up to short range). This barrier is laced with sealing scrip all around it, that once foreign chakra comes into contact with it – the barrier forcefully seals the technique into the seal. Once this is done, the barrier collapses afterwards. This ability can only seal chakra/techniques up to A rank (30 Chakra) but cannot be used on living creatures unless it’s a chakra made familiar. Can only be used thrice per battle, with a cool down of three turns.

She could create sentient life to help defend their position on the beach, yet had conflicting ideals regarding her own morals. An idealist who subscribed to a realists principles. That sounded like a recipe for cognitive dissonance if ever there was one, not that Emiya was one to judge. He was quite literally in no position to do so, as he himself was home to the same contradictory blend of hypocrisy, but at the very least he could sympathize. He knew what it was like to be an idealist in a realists world, but at least in his case he wasn't in control of his own circumstances. As Mira began creeping up to the small hollow only a couple dozen feet away or so, Emiya knew there was no way this would go well... Even as she disappeared from sight, he had faith she wouldn't be taken down by some overgrown puppies, but as that same loud, heavy buzzing sound began to resonate from within a thought occurred; was that even the same cave he'd rummaged through before? At first there was a crackle of thunder, obviously from whatever technique Mira used, but soon came the cry for help. No helping it now.

"Why can't things be simple with you?!"

With a flourish Emiya did the same as Mira, pulling a bow from thin air as he sped towards the cave, not entering, but standing close to the exit. He knew it would be foolish to rush in with the call to help as he'd both block Mira's own egress from the confined space, and put himself in harms way. Living by the idiom; fools rush in, he took position, and aim from a safe distance. Good thing too, as Mira soon exited the cave moments after he took position. From the quiver upon his hip he drew three arrows, one nocked, and the other two held in the same hand he was using to hold his bow. Emiya concentrated, a cyan circuit-like pattern forming around his eyes, as his pupils began to shine a faint silver-ish hue. Letting instinct alone guide his actions, Emiya fired three arrows consecutively, one to the left and two to the right side of the cave. Though the first two arrows fired were aimed rather high, Emiya wasn't aiming at any specific target within the cave, but rather firing blind with the only intent being to suppress anything thinking of following Mira. To his credit, though he was free aiming within the cave, the shot fired to the left managed to skewer one in the head, killing it outright, while the third, aimed lower, ricocheted off of the cavern floor, rebounding, and managing to tear another mosquitos' wings asunder. The second missed completely, flying off into the unknown depths of the cave. While not particularly flashy, Emiya's actions were incredibly swift considering the sheer size and weight of the arrows he was using, combined with the slab of iron he was wielding as a bow. Mira's own, while ironically similar in style; simplistic, still had touches of flair, such as the glistening finish applied to it. Emiya's by comparison had a matte finish, and while it had it's charms, it was nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing, but as he effortlessly draw the string and fired one arrow after another, one couldn't help but think it was as though he were the bow itself. Pure and synchronized, with no wasted movements. Such was his "style".

(Rentetsu Kyūjutsu: Mu no Kensei) Wrought Iron Archery: Void Creation of Blades
Type: Supplementary
Rank: D-Rank
Range: Self
Chakra: 10
Damage: N/A (+20 to Kenjutsu techniques)
Description: A small seal emblazoned with the Kanji for "虚" or Void, which can be applied to the user's Warbow, their body, or both. Sealed within are a number of Sword-Arrows designed for Wrought Iron Archery techniques, and in the case of the body seal specifically, the user can also store their Warbow. The user activates their seal with a small burst of Chakra and summons forth one of the many Sword-Arrows, which appears in an unoccupied space within 1m, typically within reach of, or summoned into their hand itself. When the user is finished utilizing their Warbow, or alternatively don't wish to fire their selected Sword-Arrow, they can reactivate the seal, returning the selected target back to the seal at half of the cost of activation. Neither drawing nor returning the Warbow or a Sword Arrow from/ to the seal expend one of the user's 3 Jutsu per turn, but can only be performed once per turn, and the user cannot have more than one Sword Arrow at a time. Finally, when a Sword-Arrow is utilized for Kenjutsu, including those that fall outside the realm of the Wrought Iron Archery Fighting Style, the damage is increased +20 due to the weight of the Sword-Arrow increasing the force behind the technique.

(Rentetsu Kyūjutsu: Mumei Gensō) Wrought Iron Archery: Nameless Phantasm
Type: Offensive
Rank: B-Rank - A-Rank
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A - 30
Damage: 40 - 60
Description: The most fundamental technique for Wrought Iron Archery, the user knocks a basic arrow into their Warbow, and fires it, with the action being as fast as a Samurai Iaidō strike. The user can add Chakra (including Raw, and Elemental Chakra they have access to) to their arrow, boosting the techniques strength to the equivalent of an A-Rank Jutsu, which causes the projectile to give off a blue hue and leave a trail as it travels. Once the infused arrow makes contact with anything, be it the target, the ground around them, or an aspect of or within the environment not directly related to the target, it causes the arrow to explode, damaging everything within 5m of the impact radius.

Note: The A-Rank application can be performed a max of 5 times per battle, with a 1 turn cooldown between uses.

While keeping an eye on the entrance, Emiya sarcastically asked whether or not she could call forth her familiar.

"Don't suppose you can call that dragon of yours? Give it a little workplace experience?
I don't think we want to kick the nest more than we already have, but at this point we don't have much of a choice."

Mirabelle chuckled, as she watched Emiya summon forth his bow and this other unique form of weapons. Her eyes immediately widened at the sight of his unique arrows. “Ohhh…” she admired them, watching as he promptly dealt with some of the remaining buggers. “Not bad, not bad at all!” she smiled, but the buzzing was clearly coming forth as more appeared immediately out towards them. “As for your question…id have summoned him if I can…but I think this is a little bit more fun!” she drew the bow string back as she fueled with yin based chakra. As she did, a pitch black arrow composed of Yin energy alongside some unique script appeared on it as she quickly released it and allowed it to fly. The arrow pierced into the first mosquito – piercing into it and causing some spiritual collapse, as the script spreads across its body, attacking it further.

Keeping things simple is never possible with me. That’s a fact” she chimed in, as she released another arrow this time it was composed of fire, as quickly spiraled into the air and strikes another one. For the time being, it seems that things has quiet down now, as Mirabelle turned to Emiya. “Didn’t take you much for strong archer…seems you and I have a lot more in common than we think” she smiled, as she looked at his bow. “Beautiful craftsmanship. Simple, yet elegant” she nodded her head.

(Magiruti Sensu/Inton: Heika no Yumi) Maguilty Sense/Yin Release: Majesty of the Bow
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Rank: S - Rank
Range: Short to Mid
Chakra: 50
Damage: 80
Description: A practitioner of Maguilty Sense would knock an arrow to the bow – while infusing his/her chakra into the bow. This caused the arrow itself to become infused with a Yin energy, causing it to turn black in coloration. The arrow itself is no longer physical but rather a spiritually charged arrow covered in golden script, this being the mistake code. The process takes little to no time, as the user will then release the arrow as it sores into the air. The arrow would then immediately pierce through a target; namely either an ally or target with the spiritual arrow. As it pierces through, them depending on the user’s intention, will cause certain affects to occur. In the case of an ally or even the user themselves – the arrow would immediately first absorb all foreign chakra sources, including the allies own but this in itself acts as a cleansing; removing any chakra affecting them at the time i.e Yang Release, Yin Release etc. The golden mystic code would then spread onto the target where the code absorbs the chakra siphoned prior to this. This would then act as an enhancement; as the user’s spiritual fortitude is becomes enhanced; gaining a damage/effect reduction against techniques that spiritually strike them. This reduces auxiliary effects such as mental bindings, spiritual degradation etc are reduced by two turns. In the case of the opponent however is the opposite. The arrow itself would cause spiritually damage to the target, causing 80 DMG but reduces their spiritual resistances they might have by -20 DMG, while also rendering them unable to use Yin Release or any spiritual based techniques above A Rank as the golden mystic code spreads and affected by the spiritual parasite. The mystic code/spiritual parasite only lasts for two turns before naturally fading away. Can only be used twice per battle, with a cool down of three turns between each use while no Maguilty Sense Techniques of A Rank and above can be used for one

Bolts of Downfall (D – S) (B Rank) – The first active ability of the bow, in which utilizes a seal marked “energize”.

While he was more than capable of dispatching what remained within the cave, Emiya didn't feel like going full scorched earth mostly because it would attract even more attention. Between the two of them, the syuclents didn't really stand a chance. Knowing what they were, and what they were capable of it was a simple thing for the pair to keep their distance and kill what remained of the insects. Mira's comment about this being more fun without her familiar, while probably true, gave Emiya an idea of exactly why Isabella had apparently gone off to fight a literal God alone. They certainly were a unique pair, and he'd finally gotten her to confess that nothing would ever be simple with her. Emiya's reply, while seemingly exhausted at the notion that this could be a routine thing, was still delivered with a sarcastic tone to contrast his indifferent calm now on display.

"Of course you wouldn't, because of course it is..."

With the last of the infernal buzzing taken care of, the tension in his body left him, safe in the knowledge that his blood would remain where it was supposed to be. With Mira's shots dispatching the rest, there apparently was no need for concern. Though he never really claimed the title of "Master", he was versed well enough in Spiritual Energy especially after his time in Irkalla, and experiences with spirits to recognize it, and Mira most certainly just employed Yin Release on one of those last mosquitoes. While the golden script that appeared was beyond his understanding, that black energy was indicative of that particular nature. The fire arrow that followed, while still contributing to the slaughter of their quarry, was of less note. The thing that caught his eye most was her own "style". Simply put, at least at first glance, it was terrible... She drew the string back from an already extended bow-wielding arm, the sign of a self-taught bowman. Proper form involved raising the bow slightly above one's head and drawing the string as you aim, pushing forward with the bow-arm, and pulling back with the string arm at the same time. It made for a swifter, single motion that resulted in less energy expended. Emiya was also self-taught, but the circumstances surrounding his "tutelage" were far more complex than he cared to detail unprompted. Instead, he would try and steer Mira towards the subject of her form, subtly, though not deceptively, and she gave him such an opportunity when she pointed out their shared interest.

"Really? On the contrary, I've thought very little about what you were capable of, or interested in, as every time I meet you you exceed any expectations I may have. One day you're pretending to be someone else, the next you arrive, dancing in tandem with a pair of flames across a frigid lake. Like I said; you're an admirable person. As for your surprise about this, honestly, you're right, I'm not much of an archer. Can't deny that I prefer swords, they come more naturally to me. That's not much of an issue now though."

He pulled out one of the arrows from his quiver, showing it off with a flip and a twirl, allowing her to see the projectile's full form.

"I, uh, I guess you could say I managed to blend the two together. See, each of these arrows double as swords, and while these ones are about as basic as they come, I've got a few that can do some unique things. You actually already saw one, back in Innovus. I forged one, molded after my experiences in Irkalla. It's hard to explain, but I managed to capture the 'essence' of that place in a hybrid sword-arrow. What about you? I confess to not being the most knowledgeable in the field, but that was definitely Yin Release back there. Did you have a teacher show you how to do that, or are you 'self-taught' like me?"

Though somewhat of a little white lie, Emiya was self-taught. Taught by a version of himself that had fought through countless battles, and faced unknowable hardships to reach his goal. Despite being imperfect, Mira's style was one she could truly call all her own without any hint of deception involved. It was enviable, but it could also be improved, so Emiya would help do just that, if she was willing to accept it that is.

Mirabelle’s head crooked to the side, originally and clearly confused at first. It was perhaps her lack of knowledge concerning Emiya’s style. She smiled, taking the compliments without restraint, something she did more often than she realized. However as Emiya started to show the dynamics of his weapon, she couldn’t help but get glimmer eyed. “OH NOW THAT IS COOL!” she inspected the weapon, curious of its function. He admitted that he’s more into swordsmanship than archery, which doesn’t surprise Mirabelle in the slightest. She would honestly say it’s the opposite for her, archery being the form of combat she personally indulged in. While she hasn’t as much lately, she would withdraw her bow at any moment’s notice in order to start sniping when needed. Emiya would then ask about Mirabelle’s own tutelage. She pondered for a moment on how to answer this but she didn’t stay too long on it. As a matter of fact, she sighed as she took Midnight and collapsed it back into it’s seal, leaving only the quiver out.

Well…truth be told I was taught the basics of archery from my father. He wasn’t much of an archer himself, but the ways of Hayabusa Martial Way included all forms of ranged and melee-based weapons. Archery just so happened to be what I was good at…so I continued to train and eventually came up with my own style. It’s original inspiration came from some of the books, grimoires to be exact written by Solomon. I took that information and applied it to my own natural skill of Archery, Fuinjutsu and Yin Release. Alas, Maguilty Sense was born, the personal archery style of mine” she told him as she got to the point. Despite its somewhat powerful nature, it became apparent its peak was literally Mirabelle’s own imagination and ideation. Once the buggers was cleared, she would have then taken Kurokiba, her unique thunderous sword as she channeled her chakra through it. “This however is my most prized weapon I suppose, one of which houses a powerful Advance Element. I showed it to you before, but I don’t think I ever showed its true skill…” she said, walking not too far from him as she slashed her sword down.

This movement was enough to trigger the next course of action, as large dragon composed of pitch-black lightning formed around her vicinity. It was large, hitting 5 meters in overall size. However as quickly as it formed, she also dispelled it, sheathing her sword back into it’s scabbard. “Emiya…if you don’t mind me asking…urm…actually never mind…” she stopped herself, as she got the thought out of her head. “We should get going, camp needs a little more help im sure..” she gestured to him.

(Kuroi Kaminari: Kaminari no Menajerī ) Black Lightning: Menagerie of Thunder
Type: Defensive, Offensive, Supplementary
Rank: D - S Rank
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 10 - 40 (- 10 to Sustain) (
Damage Points: 20 - 80 (40)
Description: Capella is rather a simplistic technique, designed to for the user in order to create chakra born familiars made of black lightning. These familiars can range from rather bland and basic designs such as animals to more unique designed ones such as mythical creatures such as dragons and the likes. The possibilities are endless, only limited by one’s own imagination. These familiars behave based on their designs respectively – as such humanoids are capable of walking and running, winged beasts can fly etc though of course a familiar of mixed anatomy can achieve multiple features as wells. They are sentient beings, though are incapable of human speech pattern, only able to act on their own outside of their creators control but can easily react to situations, exhibiting a rather limited but heighted thought process. They are capable of utilizing Black Lightning and Lightning Release up to their initial rank though in the case of multiple familiars being made at once, the each is only capable of using the rank they have after splitting (i.e S rank split into four makes 4 B ranks, meaning each familiar can only use up to B rank). They are also capable of dealing damage to an opponent based on their rank thought this comes at the cost of a move. This attack is a shocking physically striking blow depending on the anatomy of the familiar such as humanoid kicking or punching etc. They are capable of being summoned in various sizes, from D to C reaching up to five meters, B to A up to 10 meters while S rank reaches up to fifteen meters. Capella’s C to B Rank versions can be used an unlimited times per battle, while A rank can only be used thrice and S rank twice. B Rank requires one hand seal, A rank requires two while S rank requires 3. S Rank usage prevents the user from being able to use above A rank Black Lightning Techniques in the same and following next turn after its initial use, while a cool down of two turns. These familiars can be formed anywhere within mid range of the terrain but must be formed at least five meters away from the target, they however can operate long distances away while a familiar regardless of rank can only persist for three turns in total. The user is capable of interacting with these familiars without taking any damage.

Mira's enthusiasm at the mere sight of a basic projectile for his bow, while flattering, was a bit too overt for him to completely take her seriously. Even as a slight hue crept it's way into his face, he couldn't help but wonder if her was being patronized, even if not intentionally. As she gave more of a sense of her background in regards to training, Emiya's intent was swiftly shot down. From the sounds of it, despite not being some world renowned master of the bow, she held her father's training in high regard, so for him to come in and tell her she was wrong was incredibly impolite.

"Ah, I guess that makes sense then. You personally chose archery, but you had your start in just about everything.
Jack of all, master of one. We're not so different there I guess."

Next came her brief introduction to her own style, incorporating Fuin, Yin, and teachings from Solomon himself? While that last part sounded too good to be true, he did just see it in action, and there were some special quantities to it at a glance.

"Sounds... Complicated. I don't doubt its power, but personally I think relying on too much outside of the bow itself muddies the waters, and you lose focus on what matters. Bet it'd blow me away though."

Coasting on the high of their little tete a tete, Mira then took the opportunity to pull out her unique black blade. Despite having a blade that could cut the very fabric of reality, he still couldn't help but reverently marvel at the blade. The fact it could shoot out special lightning was secondary to him, as simply the skill it'd take to make something capable of that was worthy of praise. Though the ability to use a skill such as that was also very cool. The gremlin within him thought about stealing it away from her, but only for a moment, and for nothing more than a fleeting fanciful moment. He would never act upon such a selfish desire, especially as it concerned a friend, though it was undeniable that it very well existed. To deny himself his own, perhaps questionable, desires was to admit his love for weapons was false. He didn't have an endless epoch to espouse his love, so instead he used crude words and shorthand to convey what he truly felt.

"Yup... Still just as exquisite as the last time I saw it."

Their mutual affair with one another's arsenals would be cut short by the reality that they had work to do, and while Mira was the first to put it into words, there was yet another she seemingly couldn't. With a nod in agreement that they had overstayed their welcome here in the forest, Emiya put away his own weapons, and gestured back in the direction of the beach, inviting the lady to take the first steps, prodding her slightly for an elaboration while he did so.

"You're right. We can talk on the way if there's something you need to ask?"

Mirabelle with would have started to gather what she was about to say mentally, but soon as that was the case – a large growl mentally boomed within her head. “Mirabelle! Please…we need to get rid of this thing…” the Nibi shouted. “Ugh, fine I’ll look into it” she responded. As she turned to Emiya, she gave a weak smile. “Yea…about that…I was honestly going to ask if you can possibly teach me that style of yours…would make a great addition to my arsenal…but honestly I need to bury that thought for now…” she into the other direction. “The Nibi wants me to go in that direction…something about it has it freaking the **** out…” she said, sheathing Kurokiba and started to walk into the direction. “You can go to base camp, I’m going to go look into this first an then spin back…so…yea…” she said, starting to fold her arms in annoyance.

For a period of time longer than would be considered proper Emiya remained somewhat stunned at the confession Mira dropped on him, long enough to know she was long gone by now, and certainly long enough for it to be awkward if he attempted to assuage any fears borne from the delay. If she brought it up again, he'd try and compose himself in a more respectful manner, but as things stood, he'd spent too much time on the edge of this new land. As he began scribbling notes for a ballistae design that he intended to mount upon the rampart's he'd constructed, he thought to himself this felt more like busywork than actual help. Aside from the various merchant vessels travelling between here and the main land, every one could realistically be expected to look after themselves. Mira was here, presumably Isabella, the strange Doctor from the Armory, among many many others Emiya had met on his travels. They could handle themselves, same as he. Mirabelle had created a dragon familiar that now patrolled the skies, making his design virtually useless. Scrunching the note up, he decided he would see more of the island before committing to any kind of report, not that there was someone to report to. Things seemed rather lax, if not downright independent, everyone doing their own thing. He decided he'd do the same. The only question was which way to go.

Appearing in an azure wave of Prana above the canopy, Emiya took stock of the surroundings. The scale of Kamiyasumi was simply massive. The cedar forest he was in stretched on for untold miles to the north and west, while to the south there was a rampaging storm that seemed to never cease. Something of a similar nature could be seen within Tobusekai, though localized. This storm had engulfed seemingly half of the entirety of the Lands, a ceaseless, violent display of nature in full swing. What was responsible for this he could only speculate for now, but he would endeavor to brave the depths of the storm in due time.

That pretty much left everything to the North and West. What a journey this would be. As he began wandering with no real direction away from the beach, he felt a message come in, presuming it to be from Mira, though to his surprise it was Musashi. Not only had she succeeded in attaining a weapon from Marzan, she was here, in the Outer Lands. Perhaps she had grown tired of hunting Demons in the East, and wanted to test her new blade on a new adventure. Reading as he leapt across tree tops, Emiya decided against responding with a message of his own. He wanted to see her blade with his own eyes, words would not do, and knew they would cross paths soon enough.

----Very first mission. Spawning my bio Rini Makima into the NW here.

----Storyboard Element:
----Defend yourself from Wild Beasts (2) | C-Rank

Unsure of how far the Cedar Forest was, Rini had been strolling through a dingy area surrounded by trees and vegetation. The trees were closely stuffed together, causing the area to be mostly-devoid of light. Rini loved this sort of atmopshere and a rainy day on such a landmark would be perfect. She noticed some animals roaming and making light noises. She was unsure whether to call this landscape gloomy or beautiful. Strolling on further, she noticed dead bodies and covering them was trenches emerging from the trees nearby. It was as if they were neatly placed in between them. Whatever the case was, she had a bad feeling about this dark foresty area full of chills and light shuffles.
"Despite my liking for this place, it really isn't a great idea to stay here longer."

As Rini continued to walk through the open field, sudden footsteps and ruffling of leaves could be heard. While that's normal because of the wildlife present there, it was obvious the ones making the sounds weren't just going on about their day. It's pretty clear she is being followed. Rini couldn't figure out the exact number but she was certain it wasn't a single target. She stopped in her tracks and could hear the footsteps being more coherent. Looking at the corner of her eye, she saw a white, red-eyed beast slowly emerging out of the dark, glaring at her with the intent of unfamiliarity and hostility. It wasn't far-fetched to assume the others were the same type of wild beasts.
"After taking one good look at this place, you'd wonder what could go wrong, huh?"

Rini knew she was about to be attacked from multiple directions. Being the suicidal airhead she is, she gambled on a water technique that would allow her to liquify and protect her from physical attacks. But can that technique activate in time, and can she use the follow-up lightning attack in time before the beasts can tear her up apart? It wasn't certain, and Rini didn't care in the slightest. Life, of others or her own, wasn't precious to her. However, she wouldn't just die and allow herself to be defeated.
"I would love to die here. But I won't hold back, so hopefully they're stronger than I am."
The beasts inevitably charged towards her. There were 4 of them in total. Even if she wanted to back out on the initial gamble, there was simply no time for any other plan. Rini, having a special skill for her water ninjutsu that allowed her to cast them with only weaving a single hand seal, quickly used replacement technique right on time. The beasts, all about to latch on to their prey, took a hold of Rini before suddenly realizing their claws were no longer holding a body. Instead, it was water dripping from their claws. Nowhere to be seen, it's almost as if their prey was an illusion. She had succeeded in escaping death at the last moment.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user can freely transform his body into liquid. This form allows him to avoid taking direct damage from many physical attacks but can not attack while in this form.

The aggressive beasts stopped their actions as the target they were about to hunt was seemingly dissiapted into liquid.
She quickly arose from one side of the small puddle of water that had been created. The beasts immediately took notice of the now-reappeared figure and howled and charged straight at her. Barely managing it on time, she cast a proximity lightning technique, almost like some sort of armor that pierces through nearby opponents. The Advanced Elementalist skill she had on her Lightning techniques allowed her to deal more damage than usual. Her jutsu would create a shock wave covering her foes, causing electricity to tingle through their body, stunning and knocking them down to the ground. Being unsure of the fact they were truly eliminated, she pulled out kunais and swiftly stabbed them one by one. And plucking their eyes out afterwards, for no reason. Admittedly she was a bit panicked because of how close the beasts were to devouring her after she came out of the replacement jutsu.
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damages: 30
Description: The user surrounds themselves with electricity. The intense electric field protects them by electrocuting anyone who comes into contact with it, but only works for one attack.
"That sucked. I almost got killed. I mean it's what I want really, but if I survive it really should look better than this"

Rini didn't like to ponder or reflect back on events but this time was different. Shifting from an emergency state, she calmly gathered herself and followed on. She knew what she did wasn't the best of ways, and it could've been dealt much better. She started thinking of strategies and plans for the next similar scenario as she continued venturing deep into the ever-gloomy forest.
---End of mission.

Coming from [x]

Lilith landed on the ground after flowing through the air above the oceans of the world for days. She landed, tired and hungry on The Foothold, looking for familiar faces or at this point somebody to interact with. She rested herself on the beach, overlooking the ocean from which she had come from. She missed her friends..
