With golden scales that shine with an iridescent shine, and his fins glimmer just as brightly. He is the current boss of the contract, having taken the mantle from his predecessor and has held the position for several generations. Like all goldfish of the contract, Genkei-ō produces a chakra dense water vapor that he can use to ‘swim’ passively through the air. Having such a high affinity for water release, Genkei-ō is capable of using water jutsu up to S-rank, as well as visual Genjutsu up to A-rank, without the need of hand signs. Genkei-ō has two main abilities that are unique to him. The first is that, due to an overproduction of water vapor, he is capable of manipulating the excess into a large water body that forms into a larger version of himself. This body is considerably larger than his true body and looks exactly like the main body in terms of features, not appearing as water, comparable to the size of Gamakichi (during the fight against the 10 tails). The creation of this larger form is a passive technique (not taking a slot in the timeframe) and lasts for three turns, however can only be done twice per battle, with a cooldown needed in between. When not using this technique, Genkei-ō will still appear to be the size of Gamakichi, however this is a passive low level illusion using the water vapor around himself to appear more threatening and hide himself within the center, the light reflecting off the water vapor, however this version of the body bares no solid consistency and cannot use the below technique. The purpose of the condensed water form is once every other turn, at the cost of one of the summoner’s move slots, Genkei-ō can absorb water jutsu (up to S-rank) up to long range around him adding it to the volume of water around him which makes up his water body. To the outside, it appears as if Genkei-ō inhales the technique making onlookers none the wiser of his true form. This can be done in the same turn and timeframe as manifesting his larger form. The second ability lies in his inherent skills with Genjutsu. Using the surrounding water vapor as its medium, Genkei-ō is able to channel chakra through his scales, reflecting light and induce a genjutsu (B/A-Rank equivalent) upon anyone within short range of himself, excluding the user. The target will see the vapor encircle them from below, before exploding upwards and around them. Once the water is settled, the target will feel their movements become sluggish to a standstill, as they are surrounded by water and crushed by its weight, seeing themselves held within a crystalline fishbowl. With colourful pebbles across the ground, a small simple castle nestled among them. Some water plants gently waving, that slowly begin to weave their way to the target. The target sees themselves as a toy scuba diver, an ornament for novelty, forever watching time pass by as the water turns a murky green and the water plants snake their way around the user, restricting their movements. This results in the target being paralysed (for a turn), due to the inability to move while under water. This also causes enemy Genjutsus to only affect the user within short range, excluding MS level and higher doujutsu for both of these abilities. Lastly, the user gains access to goldfish like anatomy, gaining golden scales covering down their arms, iridescent fin-like face markings, and a hyper-dense vapor aura that allows the user to trigger visual Genjutsu without hand seals if the opponent is within short range, along with other physical feats granted by Sage mode.
