The first will explain as follows and lies directly within the user themselves. The user falls into a deep, trance-like state similar to sleep while remaining aware of their surroundings through various stimuli (sound, sight, feeling, etc.) which are replicated in every single detail to the user. This allows them to perceive the real world as events unfold in real-time. The user is lucid within this new "dream" world, allowing them to manipulate the dream according to their imagination, and this change is instantly reflected onto the real world, causing seemingly impossible alterations to reality. Example of usages: redirecting an oncoming jutsu back at the opponent, switching places with the opponent or an object, etc. This does not mean the user can create things in this dream. They can only alter what is already present or happening and it cannot change it oppositely. Fire cannot become water, dry terrain cannot become wet. But a fireball can become ash or suddenly explode, dry terrain can develop holes within it, a source of water may turn into ice. These are merely examples of usage and boils down to the user's intended use while dreaming. The changes have to be in line with what is already present. Furthermore, this does not let you inherently control anything such as a technique, summon, etc. This jutsu is mostly for quick and direct changes in the heat of battle. These changes can happen as quickly as the user closes their eyes, happening almost instantly. The user can stay in this state as long as they please at the cost of -20 chakra. And every subsequent use of this technique adds an additional 10 chakra cost to use. This cost cannot be reset until the battle is over. For example: First use: 40 chakra, second use: 50 chakra, third use: 60 chakra, so on and so forth, making it an exceptionally cost- heavy technique. This jutsu can also only alter one thing per turn, every other turn. These effects can effect anything from short to medium range from or around the user. Part II: The second part of this technique entails the user utilizing a chakra rod(s) to apply the technique, instead of applying it around themselves. This way allows for the same that ensues in Part I of the techniques, but around the chakra rod instead of the user. It still requires the user to be in their dream state, and cannot be done simultaneously with Part I. It is Part I or Part II. This can be done with any chakra rod associated with the user, but can only be applied to one rod at at a time, no matter how many are present and adheres to the same rules and restriction as Part I. Quality of life use: The user may use their dream state to travel up the amount of landmarks they are able to physically see through their RInnegan. This reduces the overall time it takes to travel. So if the user can see up to two landmarks away, they can dream to manifest themselves at the landmark they were looking at two landmarks away. So instead of traveling to one landmark in 45 minutes, they can travel up to their furthest line of sight landmark in 45 minutes. This can only be used outside of battle and the user is still susceptible to being intercepted at the original landmark they are leaving from.
