Snek appears from the depths of its cavernous hole in the ground and--
Ahem. First lesson, dear sir. They are not referred to as "Danger Noodles," but are in fact called Animalia Chordata Reptilia Squamata Toxicofera Ophidia Serpentes. And you will show these majestic creatures the respect they deserve!
For the first order of business, what is the distinguishing traits of the Snake summon and its general applications as you understand them, broadly speaking? What are their strengths and where do they thrive, and what stands out as their weaker, less functional traits (or lack-there-of)?
Hmm. I don’t know too much about their distinguishing traits, but I’ll attempt to reach back years into my mind and see what I can pull out.
One thing I recall about them is their immense size, with Manda being about 100m long. Then there is the issue of their durability. They were capable of tanking massive amounts of damage due to their scales, making them immune to attacks of A rank and below, and if I remember correctly, they could shed their skin and tank even higher levels of damage. Besides that, there is the ability to burrow underground and sense opponents through vibrations.
What I remember most about them is their versatility in the ninjutsu techniques shown by Orochimaru. Using them, he could break his body into a myriad of snakes, with his real self hidden within one as a means of escape, and things like shadow snake hands, where a bunch of small snakes are released from the sleeves. He even had them burrow through the ground to attack opponents from a distance
In terms of strengths, I’d say their defensive capabilities are a big one, as I touched on above, but a potential drawback for them could be their eyesight and their need to taste the air to effectively 'see' or sense the world around them
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kyodalja) - Summoning Technique: Giant Snakes
This is a simple technique that allows the user to summon a generic giant snake, whose size ranges from 10 meters to that of a boss summon at 100 meters in length. As mentioned before regarding their durability, this summoning is able to take up to B rank damage if large enough.
My question is, does it have immunity to B-rank damage outright, meaning it can take repeated attacks of that rank without dispersing? Or does it tank one B rank attack and then vanish?
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Sōtōja) - Summoning Technique: Dual-Headed Snakes
Another simple technique where the user summons a double-headed snake. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in speed, and its bite carries B rank damage. This is pretty self-explanatory
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: San Kashira Ebi) - Summoning Technique: Three-Headed Snakes
Seems like a more advanced version of the previous technique, this time the user summons a 70-meter-long snake with three heads. These can also tank up to B rank damage. Question is the same as the first technique.
Noted about the character exclusive techniques. i doubt I'll be using them in the future so all good.
Summoning Technique: Manda
Big Bay Manda. This technique summons Manda, the head of all snakes residing in Ryuchi cave. Unlike other summonings we've seen, he's able to turn on his own summoner. He's incredibly durable, capable of overcoming A rank defenses, and burrow underground at a quick pace. He is also immune to A rank and below damage, and can tank one S rank attach and survive by shedding his skin.
The technique mentions how fast he is, but doesn't mention any values. Do you happen to know what they are? Or does he just move at the speed of a standard F rank universal technique?
Spinning Snake Thorn
This is used by the Dual-Headed Snakes, who fire projectiles from their mouths at a target. Pretty simple. The only question is at what speed does this move? I'm assuming it follows the speeds listed in the AN/Universals category on the speed chart.
Hidden Shadow Snake Hands
Ah. A favorite of mine that I made an alternate version for on my rait contract. This technique allows the user to manifest snakes that extend from the sleeve to attack a target, biting into them to bind and hold them in place.
(Hebi o Kyūshū) Chakra Absorbing Snakes
The user summons snakes from the sleeves that wrap around the target and absorb their chakra, increasing the tightness of their grip, the more chakra the captured target uses. The snakes prevent the target from using from using techniques of various ranks per turn and can't absorb Bijuu chakra or Senjutsu.
(Kyodaija Kawarimi) Snake Body Replacement
A technique restricted to Snake summonings, this technique allows them to shed their skin as a form of body replacement where it takes their place while the user hides underground. Its a technique best used when view of the user is obscured as the replacement can be noticed due to its transparant opacity.
(Hebi Kage Bushin) Snake Clone Technique
This technique summons a small snake from the sleeve that takes the form of the user, allowing the user to know where the snake clone is. The clone is only able to use basic snake ninjutsu up to B rank and is controlled by the user through mental commands.
