Here to learn to summing some Danger Noodles

Snek appears from the depths of its cavernous hole in the ground and--

Ahem. First lesson, dear sir. They are not referred to as "Danger Noodles," but are in fact called Animalia Chordata Reptilia Squamata Toxicofera Ophidia Serpentes. And you will show these majestic creatures the respect they deserve!

For the first order of business, what is the distinguishing traits of the Snake summon and its general applications as you understand them, broadly speaking? What are their strengths and where do they thrive, and what stands out as their weaker, less functional traits (or lack-there-of)?

Hmm. I don’t know too much about their distinguishing traits, but I’ll attempt to reach back years into my mind and see what I can pull out.

One thing I recall about them is their immense size, with Manda being about 100m long. Then there is the issue of their durability. They were capable of tanking massive amounts of damage due to their scales, making them immune to attacks of A rank and below, and if I remember correctly, they could shed their skin and tank even higher levels of damage. Besides that, there is the ability to burrow underground and sense opponents through vibrations.

What I remember most about them is their versatility in the ninjutsu techniques shown by Orochimaru. Using them, he could break his body into a myriad of snakes, with his real self hidden within one as a means of escape, and things like shadow snake hands, where a bunch of small snakes are released from the sleeves. He even had them burrow through the ground to attack opponents from a distance

In terms of strengths, I’d say their defensive capabilities are a big one, as I touched on above, but a potential drawback for them could be their eyesight and their need to taste the air to effectively 'see' or sense the world around them

This is a very good baseline, to be sure. It's worth noting that while yes, it could be seen as a "drawback" with relation to their abnormal methodology of sensing, or "seeing," this works quite effectively in the functionality of overcoming eye-contact oriented Genjutsu, depending on the scenario in which it is being applied. This can even extend into the user when we're considering the use of Snake Sage mode, which was demonstrated for us in the encounter of Kabuto VS. Itachi/Sasuke.

For the sake of some efficiency and expediency as I'm sure you're eager to get this accomplished, we'll go ahead and approach these in a rotation of 3 techniques per post. I would like you to address each technique independently, however, and let me know your thoughts, a brief example application and if you have any questions relating to them and I'll do my best to help clarify:

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will summon a generic Giant Snake whose size can vary from a 10 meter long snake to ones the size of a boss summon, rivaling 100 meters long. These snakes vary in appearance and size and serve only as basic warriors, having only the normal characteristics of snakes. Although they are quite simple snakes, they are very enduring and resistant and, when big enough (about 50 meters long) they can take up to B-Rank damage.

Note: requires snake contract.
Note: can only be summoned once

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user summons a double-headed, snake to attack his enemies. The snake is not big but is very fast and dangerous. Its bite carries a B-Rank physical damage and its body is small and slippery. Its mass is somewhat larger than the user but not by much.

Note: Requires signing of the Snake Contract
Note: Can only be summoned once

Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will summon a generic, 70 meter long Three Headed Giant Snake. These snakes vary in appearance and size and serve only as basic warriors, having only the normal characteristics of snakes. Although they are quite simple snakes, they are very enduring and resistant and they can take up to B-Rank damage.

Note: requires snake contract.
Note: can only be summoned once

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kyodalja) - Summoning Technique: Giant Snakes

This is a simple technique that allows the user to summon a generic giant snake, whose size ranges from 10 meters to that of a boss summon at 100 meters in length. As mentioned before regarding their durability, this summoning is able to take up to B rank damage if large enough.

My question is, does it have immunity to B-rank damage outright, meaning it can take repeated attacks of that rank without dispersing? Or does it tank one B rank attack and then vanish?

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Sōtōja) - Summoning Technique: Dual-Headed Snakes

Another simple technique where the user summons a double-headed snake. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in speed, and its bite carries B rank damage. This is pretty self-explanatory

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: San Kashira Ebi) - Summoning Technique: Three-Headed Snakes

Seems like a more advanced version of the previous technique, this time the user summons a 70-meter-long snake with three heads. These can also tank up to B rank damage. Question is the same as the first technique.

They both would likely follow similar damage shaving principles across the board and would disappear after tanking the B-rank attack, resulting in a 1-to-1 trade off. Nothing too complicated, but nothing to scoff at either.

The last of the summoning techniques will cover Manda. The other two listed (Aoda and Manda II) are both restricted exclusively to Sasuke and Kabuto bios, respectively, so we'll forgo looking into those ones too deeply as I believe you use neither of these characters for any of your bios. However, if you have an interest in the future, you're more than welcome to revisit this thread and we can go over it if you'd like.

So without further ado, the papa snake.

Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: F
Range: Short
Chakra: 50
Damage: N/A (-10 to user upon summoning)
Description: Manda is a gigantic, 100 meter long snake who serves as the "leader" of all snakes. Fierce and aggressive, Manda is a shrewd warrior. To summon Manda, the user takes a big gamble, as he can easily turn on its summoner if he so deems it. Not only that, but the sacrifice and the amount of chakra needed damages the user, making summoning Manda a forbidden act. Manda has some unique abilities. Extremely fast and strong, his tail acts as a sharp mace that he can fling at the enemies with ease, speed and tremendous power (capable of overcoming even A-Rank defenses). Manda is also capable of using his chakra for 2 unique techniques: he can borrow underground (even if its affected by up to A-Rank techniques), tunneling through the earth at enormous speed or shed his skin, using a sort of substitution technique, where he trades places with his shed skin. While underground, Manda can sense the vibrations through the earth and pinpoint the location of his enemy. While completely immune to techniques A-Rank and below, Manda can take one S-Rank attack and survive by shedding his skins afterwards, although this can only be done once.

Note: requires snake contract
Note: can only be summoned once

After that, we come to the snake Ninjutsu, starting with:

Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: A technique exclusive to (Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Sōtōja) Summoning Technique: Dual Headed Snakes in which they will release drill-like projectiles from their mouths at the target.

Note: Requires signing of the Snake contract
Note: Can only be used by (Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Sōtōja) Summoning Technique: Dual Headed Snakes

Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra:15
Damage: 30
Description: Senei Jashu is a Ninjutsu technique that manifests a snake, which extends from the sleeve. The ninja can extend these snakes to attack a target. Once extended the snake can bite into the target to hold and bind them.

Note: Must be able to summon snakes

Same process as before; any thoughts or questions you may have.

Noted about the character exclusive techniques. i doubt I'll be using them in the future so all good.

Summoning Technique: Manda

Big Bay Manda. This technique summons Manda, the head of all snakes residing in Ryuchi cave. Unlike other summonings we've seen, he's able to turn on his own summoner. He's incredibly durable, capable of overcoming A rank defenses, and burrow underground at a quick pace. He is also immune to A rank and below damage, and can tank one S rank attach and survive by shedding his skin.

The technique mentions how fast he is, but doesn't mention any values. Do you happen to know what they are? Or does he just move at the speed of a standard F rank universal technique?

Spinning Snake Thorn

This is used by the Dual-Headed Snakes, who fire projectiles from their mouths at a target. Pretty simple. The only question is at what speed does this move? I'm assuming it follows the speeds listed in the AN/Universals category on the speed chart.

Hidden Shadow Snake Hands

Ah. A favorite of mine that I made an alternate version for on my rait contract. This technique allows the user to manifest snakes that extend from the sleeve to attack a target, biting into them to bind and hold them in place.

If I recall correctly, all summons regardless of rank or anatomy consist of a flat rate 10 speed value unless it explicitly mentions otherwise within the technique of the particular summon itself. While it does provide some descriptive basis for the suggestion of "above average performance," in the case of Manda, we're going to have to assume without any proper numerical value to refer to, the default of 10 is our option.

As for SST: It would follow as you are saying, AN/Universal standard values. So in the case of this particular technique, it would be a 7 speed.

Onto our next set then!

Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20 (-50 chakra per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: The user restrains the target with snakes that he summons from his sleeves which will wrap around the target and steadily absorbs their chakra. The more the captured target increases their chakra, the tighter the grip from the snakes. The snakes however cannot absorb endless amounts of chakra and will eventually saturate. They are also susceptible to damage from techniques and their binding power is of B-Rank physical strength. While bound, the target will face a stead drain of chakra which will make it increasingly difficult to mold chakra for techniques (1st turn, no S-Ranks or above, 2nd turn, no A-Ranks or above, 3rd turn and onwards, no B-Rank or above). Senjutsu chakra or Bijuu chakra cannot be absorbed and will immediately end the technique, making the snakes either crumble into rocks or disintegrate. The chakra drained is lost.

Note: Binding can last up to 4 turns
Note: Can only be used by Snake Summoners and requires Fuuinjutsu knowledge.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: Snake summons have the ability to shed their skin in a manner of body replacement technique which is used for the replacement technique while the snake hides underground. During the battle with gamabunta and katsuyu, Manda used this technique to evade from toad oil flame bomb; the skin was deceiving however it had a transparent opacity, which in between attack wasn't noticeable.

Note: can only be used by Snake summons

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: A jutsu develop for spying and gathering information which involves the user summoning a small snake from his sleeve. The user will then have the snake transform into a pure reflection of themselves. The user is able to know exactly what the clone is doing. The clone is only able to use basic snake ninjutsu and taijutsu up to B rank. The clone is linked to the user and is controlled at a distance through mental commands, unlike normal clones which can act independent from the user.

Note: Counts towards the users clone limit.
Note: Only one can be made at a time.

Chakra Absorbing Snakes

Nice to see that snakes can absorb chakra. Alright, so this technique allows the user to release snakes from his sleeve that restrain the opponent and steadily absorb their chakra. The more the restrained target increases their chakra, the tighter the snakes’ grip on them becomes, which is equivalent to B rank in power. These snakes can cause damage, but they also make it hard to use techniques while bound. As restrictions become more stringent, the more time passes. Understandably, they can’t absorb senjutsu or bijuu chakra. Also, the absorbed chakra doesn’t go back to the user, but is lost.

Snake Body Replacement

A dodging type technique used by snakes to evade incoming attacks by shedding their skin and using it to deceive their opponents. While the opponent is distracted by the skin, the summon can reposition themselves to attack the opponent.

Snake Clone Technique

A snake shadow-clone jutsu where the user summons a small snake that transforms into a reflection of themselves. It can only use snake ninjutsu and taijutsu up to B rank. Unlike normal clones, the snake clone is linked to the user and is controlled through mental commands.

Exactly so. Keep in mind a few details pertaining to the Chakra Absorbing Snakes technique, in which that the chakra does not return to you in any way and is simply "lost in the process," as it were. So don't go relying on it for any make or break on your chakra taxes.

Alright, onto the fun and eventual next bunch. Considering your history with Swamp, I'm excited to see what sort of shenanigans you pull off with the third technique in particular:

Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will release several snakes from his sleeve that attack the opponent and then lifts them into the air, where the snakes then detach from the user and then spins around the opponent whilst attacking them multiple times before dispersing.

Note: Must have signed the snake summoning contract.

Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user turns their hands into a number of huge snakes that hit the opponent upwards. Next, one snake grabs the opponent in its jaws and drags the opponent into the pile of snakes left below. The user then sends a pulse of chakra into the pile, detonating the snakes into a massive explosion.

Note: May only be used once per battle

Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user summons a large amounts of snakes that emerge from underground to attack a target. These snakes, each a meter wide, can attack up to mid range in the sky and erupt across a mid range radius.

Red Banded Snake

Another simple snake technique that sees the user release a number of snakes from the sleeves that attack the target and lift them into the air. Once airborne the snakes will detach from the user and spin around the opponent multiple times while attacking them. They disperse after the attack is completed.

Snake Explosion Technique

Getting into some real body horror territory here. The user turns that hands into a number of large snakes that hit the opponent upwards, where one snake grabs and drags them down into the rest of the snakes left below. By sensing a pulse of chakra into the pile of snakes, the user can detonate them all.

Hidden Shadow Wild Snake Hands

Not as good as swamp, but this technique allows one to summon a large number of snakes from beneath the opponent to attack them. Reaching up to a meter wide, these snakes can reach up to 15 meters into the air and erupt across a mid-range radius. This is cool because it could potentially combo with crushing snake illusion well.

One thing about these multiple snake techniques though, is that with the damage splitting rules, the damage would split to a negligible amount depending on how many snakes you summon for the techniques.

(Hebi o Kyūshū) Chakra Absorbing Snakes

The user summons snakes from the sleeves that wrap around the target and absorb their chakra, increasing the tightness of their grip, the more chakra the captured target uses. The snakes prevent the target from using from using techniques of various ranks per turn and can't absorb Bijuu chakra or Senjutsu.

(Kyodaija Kawarimi) Snake Body Replacement

A technique restricted to Snake summonings, this technique allows them to shed their skin as a form of body replacement where it takes their place while the user hides underground. Its a technique best used when view of the user is obscured as the replacement can be noticed due to its transparant opacity.

(Hebi Kage Bushin) Snake Clone Technique

This technique summons a small snake from the sleeve that takes the form of the user, allowing the user to know where the snake clone is. The clone is only able to use basic snake ninjutsu up to B rank and is controlled by the user through mental commands.

Bery good

( Akai Shima Moyō no Hebi ) - Red Banded Snake

Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will release several snakes from his sleeve that attack the opponent and then lifts them into the air, where the snakes then detach from the user and then spins around the opponent whilst attacking them multiple times before dispersing.

Snake Taijutsu combo, nothing too exciting.

(Hebi Risu no Jutsu) – Snake Explosion Technique

Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user turns their hands into a number of huge snakes that hit the opponent upwards. Next, one snake grabs the opponent in its jaws and drags the opponent into the pile of snakes left below. The user then sends a pulse of chakra into the pile, detonating the snakes into a massive explosion.

Note: May only be used once per battle

Turn your hands into snakes, and grab the opponent - blasting them into a pile of snakes that then EXPLODES. Very dramatic.

( Sen'ei Ranjashu ) - Hidden Shadow Wild Snake Hands
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user summons a large amounts of snakes that emerge from underground to attack a target. These snakes, each a meter wide, can attack up to mid range in the sky and erupt across a mid range radius.

Cause snakes to emerge from the ground and attack the opponent, across quite a large range.
