Ninja World | Landmark Changes & Updates
Landmark Claims & Conquest
Landmark Claims & Conquest
Description:
With every landmark containing some measure of lore, they are designed to be building blocks of player-created narratives. One of the more impactful ways to achieve this by influencing the Ninja World through its landmarks. Most landmarks can be fundamentally changed by player actions and this is not only facilitated through this thread but also encouraged.
This thread will be used by both Moderators and players alike to track important changes made to the world. For players, anything from creating new structures to changing the geography of the land counts as an update and warrants submission in this thread. Like previously, there are two types of changes that can be made to LM's. The first are simple changes: reversible/mendable alterations like structures built, forests cleared, and villages raided. These are ultimately temporary and allow the landmark to return to its previous (base) state after an Arc or two if not maintained. The other type are major or world changes. These fundamentally alter the topology and lore of a landmark in ways that cannot easily be undone or mitigated. These include destroying mountains, evaporating lakes and rivers, or even creating new features that change the ecology of the area. Both require submission in this thread, but simple changes are more likely to be approved while world changes require planning and foresight on the NW Sensei side before implementation.
Submission Template:
PHP:
Relevant Links:
Type: (Simple Change/World Change)
The original paragraph: (the original text of the paragraph in question. If the submission is a new paragraph or note this should be left empty)
The new paragraph: (the new text of the paragraph, with all changes bolded if relevant)
Tip:
Every change, whether a simple or a world change, must of course be described and implemented thoroughly in an RP fashion in the landmark(s) in question. To continue the above mentioned example; to realize their change the player might describe how they interact with some NPCs in the landmark and persuade them to move in, or maybe they force them to do so. The most important thing is that all changes are accompanied by RP that leads to these changes.
