Tell me about Dark Release - what do you like about it and why'd you go for it.

Dark Release is a rare ability that originates from Kirigakure, the person is born with two diamond shapes on the palms of their hands. These marks are a pathway to a space where that person can contain a virtually infinite amount of chakra. The top square is a pathway into the space and the bottom square is the way out. With dark release the user can absorb chakra (chakra from techniques) through the top square then while in that space the chakra can be converted into a raw form of chakra and released through the bottom square. The space inside is separate from the user's chakra and cannot be accessed, which allows dangerous types of chakra/energy to be absorbed. Like most techniques the rank and power that can be absorbed is dependent on what rank of the absorption technique used. The chakra released is denser and stronger than raw chakra and resembles fire release. (Mostly dark in nature.)
I like the fact that you can absorb chakra from techniques and rebound the power back at your opponent. Not many things allow you to do that. Which is what I think is very cool about it. It creates a unique fighting style and option in combat. Plus there is potential to make a lot of cool CJ’s from it.

The core technique, use the absorption mark to sap some chakra from the opponent and use it to fuel a Dark Release technique.

The user will spread his arms to the sides and point his palms outwards in opposing directions, activating his absorption squares in both his hand markings. As he does, a radial vortex-like effect is creating towards each hand. By doing this, the user is able to defend from attacks (following the elemental weaknesses and strengths of the KG) that are thrown at him from all directions, as the vortexes will direct them to the markings. However, if the user fails to keep both arms and markings perfectly opposed to each other, the vortexes will become unstable and fail.

In the weaker version Inhaling Maw can absorb up to A-Rank Wind, Fire and Lightning techniques, S-Rank raw chakra or C-Rank Water, all within reason. Has no effect on Earth techniques. What are the limitations of this one?

I believe its one rank higher, S rank Wind, Fire and Lightning - F rank raw chakra and B rank Water - no effect on Earth techniques.
