Toriko is one of my personal favorites and I highly recommend anyone to watch and read it, I'd say watch the anime first and then afterwards once you've caught up to the anime go to the manga. The series in a nutshell is about real men hunting for ingredients to capture, it's a unique series.

Komatsu is like the one pushing more power out of Toriko with his crying but he showed some backbone in this chapter. And yeah I did get that same feeling but more from Toriko's eyes resembling Hollow Ichigo's eyes then anything else.
