This was Naruto's plan he defeats people and seems stronger than he really is by making people around him weaker than they should be. A good example of this is Nagato.Nagato would have easily won that fight but Naruto decided to preach to him and made him sacrifice himself.

Well you can use common sense and realize that if Sasuke is a genius then Kakashi must be one aswell.Kakashi isn't from a superior clan and he has more feats than Sasuke age for age.

He was made Third Division Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces.He was just about to become 6th or seventh Hokage before Tsunade woke from her coma.He isn't from any known clan and is still this powerful makes him even more awesome.
