It seems we have a misunderstanding. I meant that Minato's rasengan is equal to Naruto's Odama Rasengan in size. I didn't mean to say that Minato's rasengan is an Odama Rasengan.

Manga says this is Odama Rasengan. Minato has a rasengan which is exactly the same size. Minato's rasengan = Odama Rasengan. There really is no other way around this.
