Yeah, the new episode wasn't a filler. It was a special episode to promote the new movie. The episodes are going to continue with the war this week.

Minato is one of my favorite characters but we really can't compare him to anybody until he learn more about his abilities. Minato is pretty powerful and intelligent from what we have seen though.
