I have no qualms with that statement.

It makes since that he lost his ability to heal and seal the ten tails after his yin yang chakra was used/taken back. In the manga naruto displays amazing powers after obito healed him. He could heal virtually anything, use the abilities of all the tailed beast (sealing jutsu, super str, lavastyle etc), use the black balls and fly! However in all the new movies and gaiden manga he never shows any of these...
