What makes people say Itachi > Sasuke?

It's quite clear for me Sasuke has surpassed Itachi. I mean, he surpassed him the moment he got the EMS. I understand people use the Kabuto fight as an example of Itachi's superiority, but him being an edo isn't really taken to account. I know it's probably the fanboys, but I must say, people should already know Itachi is a medium to Sasuke. Sasuke beating him and being better than him was foreshadowed even in part 1. So yeah, Sasuke can pretty much take out Itachi...

If Itachi was alive and healthy, there is no doubt in my mind he would sill beat Sasuke. I do believe in time, Sauske would surpass his brother, but that would be years later.

At this point the arguments are be based on "what if" scenarios.

Exactly. Speculation is pointless. Kishi presented Itachi as a sick man with low stamina, so that is what we'll judge him on. Not go around saying "healthy Itachi >" when we haven't seen anything.

IF. Notice the word you used, "IF". Here's a newsflash, Sasuke actually has the EMS, in the manga. Where's healthy Itachi? Oh yeah, he doesn't exist.

Yes, so in that case, it's definitely Sasuke > Itachi (after one heck of a battle on Itachi's part! lol) since we have no other proof due to his health issues and obvious death. In canon there is no doubt he's surpassed his older brother.

Another thing is -Sasuke has EMS so his eyes won't be strained or consume as much chakra but Itachi has those side-effects and you can't say "oh but if he had EMS" because Itachi was never out for Sasukes eyes.

TLDR; Sasuke can use the Sharingan to a fuller extent than Itachi.
