This^ I was able to work it out blind folding. Working out minato was naruto's father was harder as there was less hints apart from looks

Personally, i believe that's the reason for all of the hate. I thought obito was the obvious choice, and figured kishi was a good enough writer to lead us in a false direction, only to surprise us with the reveal. But i was let down. I think that's why most people didn't think it was obito. It was the easy answer.
