OT: It's the other way around actually, Naruto did not want everyone to fight for his life. He felt he needed to shoulder everything by himself. But Itachi finally straightened him out on that one, tbh.

I'm guessing u haven't seen naruto one on one vs pain one on one vs gaara, did I forget to mention he saved tsunade he also went after daidara on his own

From what i seen,Naruto got information from tsunade and jiraya to fight pain.In Addition hinata pop in the war when naruto was capture by deva path to stimulate him to go tailbeast mode.If hinata did not join the war then naruto will be capture.
