Next hokage

I'd like Shikamaru to become hokage and just let Naruto become something special like the Sannin...

Naruto. As of now, he is too immature and stubborn, but in the current battle, with Obito questioning his beliefs and constantly daring him to leave his ideals behind, I wouldn't be surprised Kishi will develop Naruto's character into a better candidate once he finally thinks of an answer to peace.

Naruto is too stupid to run a village, he'll be Hokage nominally only.

It's not enough to just be smart, you have to be strong enough to defend a village, something Shikamaru is not.

And then I can't imagine it's all that difficult to run a ninja village.
