Orichimaru killed Itachi??

Orochimaru was called White Snake..Orochimaru's strongest jutsu and being essentially Orochimaru's White Snake Form So I started thinking what if it did release a deadly venom when cut ????
So may be ITACHI died because of white snakes venom
This led me to think perhaps Itachi did not die from illness, but rather died from the deadly venom that Orochimaru released when his hand was cut by Itachi. After all it was right after cutting Orochimaru that Itachi's physical condition became dramatically worse
Like Hanzou vs Mifune first battle...Mifune was effected by venom...

I also feel like the Many of parts of Itachi's character are not fully fleshed out SPECIALLY what exactly was the sickness.

It might sound absurd I even know this is total shot in the dark here, but I do think it would be an interesting twist in the story line...
make a-lot of future events make sense. Orochimaru will become one of the most feared villian again...

i like where you getting at. but itachi was 13 when he joined akatsuki and cut off oros arm, the databooks stated that itachi was 21 when he died. so the venom took 8 years to kill itachi ?? lol im actually leaning more towards tobi and zetsu.

Now your probably wondering why I think this may be important.

What if Itachi knew more about Orochimaru's plans than he led on and knew about the threat of the plan detailed in Orochimaru's scroll?
What if because of this Itachi's main objective wasn't Sasuke in that final battle, but to get rid the world of the threat of Orochimaru. After all when faced with the threat of Kabuto, Itachi was much more worried about Buto than Sasuke's safety,
Even deciding to face Buto instead of attempting to deal with Sasuke.


U can also say why not Sasuke got affected by venom...this is my reason for it...Sasuke would be immune to the poison at that time due to his fusion with Orochimaru

There can be many reasons why it took 8 year...
exposed to minimal level of venom
taken lots of drugs (kishi mentioned in 1 manga I dont know which one that he prolonged his life by taking drugs)
etc...

That would kill it but it would also make for an interesting plot twist though to be honest id feel slightly dissapointed that the genius itachi would be fooled and killed by a snake venom and i would just lol if they explained this in the manga as im pretty sure itachi would know about the snake venom if there was any. Lastly i just wish they explained what the hell was wrong with itachi how did he get sick. Did he die of too much of his own awesomeness?

Orochimaru/Itachi. In the flashback Itachi clearly had Orochimaru out gunned...He OWNED him but he allowed Orochimaru to go free instead of killing him. It doesn't make much sense that Itachi wouldn't just kill Orochimaru than and there when he's such a big threat to the leaf village and his brother.
However if Itachi knew that he'd have to die to kill Orochi, due to venom..
Itachi's reasoning for not wanting to start a fight of death...
Suddenly everything becomes clear. He wouldn't want to die from defeating Orochi until after he could deal with Sasuke...
So that he can guide sasuke and manipulate him so that he comes on the right path...

I think i see what you mean and you have an interesting concept. Now what im wondering is snake venom airborne because im pretty sure itachi didnt get bit as orochimaru thought he had him while he was really in a genjutsu. Also he could kill orochimaru quite easily without getting poisoned. I believe he did not kill orochimaru because if he did he would have appeared as a traitor to the akastsuki as it was just itachi and oro by themselves so no one would have known what happened. But to be honest im 50/50 now, you have me gripped with an interesting concept one that would fit into the story quite well, for me at least considering how devious oro is

You know, now that I think of it, the coughing up blood and "the special attention" to his left arm. Maybe it was some kind of poison or disease that involved his heart. He did noticeably suspend his left arm. I kinda thought that was strange.
