Before this video, i would have argued that god did exist, why because i had questions with no answers. I did not know really what black holes are, i didn't really know why the sun emits energy, i didn't really understand the big bang theory. I watched this with an open mind, and guess what, i must be a singularity then because my whole world view did change in a matter of 40 minutes.

not to start a fight but how can you be a christian and believe in the big bang and evolution?

Instead of letting people brain wash me, I read The Bible (to some extent, not the entire thing) and came to my own conclusion. I believe God was the reason for the creation of the Universe. I believe he was the cause of the big bang. I believe that the 6 "days" of creation were more than 6 days, perhaps millions/billions of years (a lot of things in The Bible are metaphorical). This would give time for evolution to take place.

What I didn't really understand was the depth of them, their purpose, the studies of physical cosmology are very interesting and compelling if you are open to it. And you just said yourself, that because we don't understand something, we believe in god. <- THAT IS WHAT RELIGION IS! Were afraid of living a pointless life, so we came up with the afterlife. We didn't understand how everything was created, so we made up god. A fairy tale thousands of years old, is now outdated.

If that is what you believe so be it. I have no problem with religious people. But obviously you did not watch the entire video, and take everything in. You can still believe if you want, i am not trying to convert you. But he basically went over every point of why there is no creator.

Why is it only humans that get to go the afterlife, why are we so special. How can you probe there is an afterlife. The purpose of life is to survive, to grow, to evolve, then to end. It is an endless cycle with no point. Are you afraid that your life is pointless?

No science is not how god made everything, science IS everything. If you were never introduced religion to by you parents, would you believe that there is a god. Every religeon can't be right, so which one is right to you? the one you were raised with and the ones your parents made you believe? god is like santa clause.
