You forgot to mention Kisame can surprise attack Kakuzu.


I'm not sure if Kisame has a piercing attack, like Lightning Blade that would rip through Kakuzu Earth Body.

Reason since Kisame can travel underground. Confusing Kakuzu would be the name of this game. He wouldn't need to turn the field into water.

Kakuzu could stream lightning into the ground, nullifying his earth and water techs.

I agree, Kakuzu possesses too much destructive power for Kisame to handle, not to mention he's a lot older and has more battle experience and tactics.

This one goes to Kakuzu. As someone stated, Samehada can absorb chakra, not techniques. The sheer power of Kakuzu's lightning renders Kisame's fused form useless (his best move btw).
About chakra: we've seen Kakuzu using a lot of large scale elemental attacks so Kisame's chakra level won't be a problem.

The lightning heart is Kisame's true problem. But if Kisame use Water Clones to split into all directions or just different directions. Then Kakuzu will have a problem.




Also.. I don't think Water Prison Jutsu will be much effect to the Hearts. They say the Water Prison is stronger than steel, so it's possible it would crush the hearts.

i like this thread , this is a detailed write-up of kakuzu's abilities, and logical explanation of how his techs would work against kisame and vice-versa..i made a thread earlier in the morning of how he sucked, but i was referring to the fact that more would have been expected
of him seeing the amount of years he had spent as an active shinobi (training and battles)
but i don't still agree withyour speculation that kakuzu> kisame

The water dome idea would be a bad idea for Kisame to do, if Kakazu split his hearts up and the raiton doll is outside the dome. Kakasu can survive it in that situation, and it would kill Kisame.
Super Water shark bomb would give Kakazu hell, and Kakazu is proficienct with the water clone technique and vica versa.
Shark skin can absorb a good amount of attacks.
And Kakazu has alot of experience.
Either one can take each other out depending on the situation, cause I believe they are most even.
But if I had to choose I would say Kakazu, due to his versatility and experience.

I agree with you on the conclusion. Kakuzu could defeat Kisame on 1 vs 1. In my opinion, Kisame could destry 2-3 Kakuzu's heart but not more. He would give Kakuzu a good fight, though.

The fact that kakuzu can attack from so many angles using his threads and his elemental jutsu I do not see how Kisame will be able to handle it all although I must say it would be a great match.

Great thread man, I think it's a much closer match than a lot of people think it is especially given your post.

One particular thing is that people seem to think Samehada is an effortless perfect Preta Path when in reality it has to eat the jutsu itself and it's shown trouble eating fire proving that it's not just a preta in the form of a sword. So not necessarily will he be able to absorb Kakuzu's blasts.

Kakuzu will beat Kisame 9 times out of ten and here is why .

Kisame uses only Water based Jutsu and none of them are fatal or one hit kill.

Samehadha can not absorb high powered Ninjutsu like Kakuzus Raiton Gian, and Katon Futon Combo.

Kisame will need to kill Kakuzu 5 times in order to win, but Kakuzu only needs one fatal hit and Kisame is dead.

Kakuzu has 80 years of fighting experience when Kisame only has 30-35 years of experience, so Kakuzu topples Kisame in Battle tactics and fighting ability by miles.

Kakuzu can Manipulate lighting and Kisame can not Absorb lighting nor can Samehadha tank a B lvl Ninjutsu like Raiton gian, so if he uses Water dome he will dig his own grave since Kakuzu would not mind getting killed with Kisame since he can always resurrect himself 4 times.

sorry but a lightning jutsu would end kisame or do alot of damage.All kakazu has to do is send is other hearts out of the dome and then leave his lighting one in then start firing away,but of course kakazu will get hit but the thing's that carry the hearts will jump back into kakazu after the dome disappears.

And if the giant shark bomb counters the lighting jutsu then his children(don't know the names of those things sorry) can fire there jutsu at kisames blind spot.The only element that would be useless is the fire one.

Kisame is on a whole nother level.....if kakzu did damage he'd recover in no time based on that kisame takes out all five hearts before he him self takes a fatal blow
