yamato says that naruto strength isnt't from the kyubbi's power and if he want to save sasuke he must do it with his own power not the kyubbi's eyes but his own.

2. Yamato is also Naruto's teacher and captain(for a while), he is a character who has a roll to play and wouldn't just say some insensible stuff. Even if i don't think that Naruto would battle Sasuke without Kurama.

This is simply because Yamato did not know how strong Naruto really is and had no idea Naruto would end up overpowering the 9 tails, bending it to his will and not the other way around.

Lol okay Mr.Serious. I was just being a Yamato-hater for a moment. Kishi probably used Yamato to foreshadow Naruto fighting Sasuke with base or Sage power. Kishi doesn't narrarate, I don't think any manga as narraration matter or fact. Therefore, Kishi must tell us things through characters' dialogue.
