New Hokage

Tsundae will probably die from being split in half and Konoha will need a new Hokage. We all know that plot no jutsu will probably make Naruto the next Hokage. In my opinion Shikamaru deserves to be Hokage. Shikamaru is smart, powerful, and an awesome stratigest. Anyone remember the Kakuzu and Hidan arc? He took out one of Kakuzu hearts and defeated Hidan. now I'm not trying to say that Shikamaru is the best and strongest character, but strategicly Shikamaru would be the best bet for Konoha's new start.

Plot no Jutsu to make Naruto hokage? Not at all, he saved the village against Pein xd Though I wouldn't mind Shikamaru being Naruto's right hand.

The thing Naruto don't understand with the Hokage role is that there is much more paper work than fighting, in fact a Hokage never fight, only if someone powerful attack the Village, or so. And I doubt that will happen because it will be peace.

Why people fail to realize is that being hokage means that you are the STRONGEST ninja in the village. How can you make shikamaru the hokage when he isn't the strongest. He's not even the smartest. His dad and kakashi are still above him. Naruto will become the next hokage and shikamaru will most likely be narutos aid. Like shizune is to tsunade

I agree with you shikamaru would be an excellent choice but seeing how his father wasn't chosen i doubt he will be. Next is Kakashi who was almost chosen to be the next hokage and if not Kakashi then Naruto and only way I see Naruto becoming hokage right now is if Kakashi dies

Well I'd say Kakashi since Danzo is out of the picture, but seeing as though he's probably about to die, it's going to be either Naruto or Shikamaru.

Shik because of the reasons you've listed, and Naruto because of his past feats and sacrifices he's made for his village. He's a descendant of the Senju clan, and has a strong will.

But the issue with that is Shikamaru has only recently been promoted to his rank, and both him and Naruto will probably be seen as too young. So it's a long shot, but since Gai is really the only main character of his rank left, it'll probably be him or Shizune if that doesn't work out.

IMO the Hokage should be Naruto, with Shikamaru as is right hand, Hinata on his lap, and Sakura mopping the floor. I believe this would be a good team in the "white house" of the leaf.

Maybe Shikamaru's Father. He's my 2nd Choice. My first choice would be Kakashi (if he survives). last choice is Naruto by default no jutsu lol

Quit this plot no jutsu thing for Naruto being Hokage and where do you get this "it is all paper work"? Where did it show that in the manga? With Shikamaru by his side Naruto would be an excellent Hokage.

Shikimaru doesn't seem like he would make a good Hokage in my opinion. I'm not trying to underestimate him, because I know he's a boss. But in all honesty I don't see him as a kage level ninja, he's a strategist, that's what he's good at. He isn't exactly cut out for straight up combat, and in a dire situation someone like Kakashi or Naruto would be better at handling the enemy in straight combat while Shikimaru can come up with the best way to defend the village as a whole.

He'll never be Hokage material, but he'd be a damn good advisor/strategist for the village of Konoha should a major attack come.
