I think Deidara is underrated cuz he got beaten by the Sharingan 2 times, but people forget this guy is a genius.
- People forget that when he fought Itachi, he was probably around 10, so too young. He probably even never fought a Sharingan user before. I think that cuz he didn't even knew how Byakugan for example work when he encountered Neji. That's why he said he wanted to know the difference between Sharingan and Byakugan. So he lost, but the main reason was his lack of experience
- Directly after his defeat, he trained his eye in order to counter it and he has shown it against Sasuke. That shows his genius since there aren't that many people who could do that without sharingan
- Rare are the ninjas who have the destructiv power Deidara has. He can single handily destroy villages if he wants
- He is the worse opponent to fight cuz he can fly and attack at long range when there aren't that many long range specialist, like there aren't a lot of ninja who can fly
- He was only 19 when he died, so he could have improved even much more if he was alive
His main problem is that he lacks a lot of experience(probably cuz of his young age), but with more experience, i think Deidara could have been one of the strongest shinobi in NU
