[Spoilers] Did Obito want to use the to Rinnegan to revive Rin?

After reading today different threads about Madara and Tobito, how eyes were exchanged etc. that question just came up.

I know, there are some points contradicting on it:
I think I've read that the Rinnegan can only be used for people who just died some time ago and not like several years.

But a motivation to find a way to get Rin back to life are giving some more understandable explanations on some parts of the story in my opinion:

Maybe Madara told Obito that he could ressurect Rin if he would make Nagato awaken the Rinnegan (and afterwards take them away).
So the main contact points where Tobi-Nagato and NOT Nagato-Madara. Maybe Nagato did not even know about Madara.

Thats is also why Obito wanted to get the eyes back from Nagato after his death, as he said to Konan.

At least this would say that ordinary revenge was not Obitos main reason to turn evil.

And in Obitos case this motiviation would just be idiotic, I think.

Who knows the Rinnegan is actually so broken that it can destroy the plot. The Rinnegan has to have to power to revive the dead(not sealed) no matter when they died, the plan was for Nagato to revive Madara with the Rinnegan right? Which shows the Rinnegan should have the ability to bring someone back no matter when they died.

I can just imagine it. After Madara saved Obito and a few years later, he goes back to konoha to ask Rin out only to find out she died thus enraging him to start a war against Kakashi and the shinobi world for letting her die.

It's obvious he still cares for Rin, considering he started the 4th Ninji War because Kakashi let Rin die. True that he doesn't care about this reality anymore. But maybe he wants the "Moon Eye Plan" to succeed, so he and Rin can be together in a new reality?

What manga are you reading? Can you please link me the part were he clarify's that he doesn't care about Rin specifically anymore.


I mad a thread about this.

I think that was his main motive the whole entire time.

Why would he be so interested in knowing how to stop edo tensei?

I strongly think he wanted to create a perfect world for him and Rin to live in without the pain of reality.
