Advice for High School

I need all the advice you can possibly give for me. I'm going to High School tomorrow for the first time, I was suppose to go like 3 days ago to know where my classes were but I forgot


I'm sort of shivering as I'm typing all this because I'm really nervous. I want good grades so yeah. I'm not bad at math but I'm not the best...also in Canada Vancouver you start High School in Grade 8.

I've gotten already some pretty good advice from one of my really good friends on the site so that's good. How do I start off? When should I start my homework? As soon as I come home, wait till the last minute like me and everyone else does? Tell me all the advice you can give me, also share your experiences to everyone.


This may be the last thread..I'll make. Tomorrow when I wake up, 8:40 is when the bell rings..can I survive? wease:

Do homework as soon as you get home. It feels good not having to worry about it. And another tip, don't give a crap what people say about you. Find friends(real ones) hang out with them, and ignore immature people.

High school isn't as bad as everyone seems. I was scared my freshmen year only because of the marching band (initiations xd), but I'm a senior now. Freshmen year really isn't that bad. Just hang out with your friends, and do your homework. Homework can really make a difference in all classes, even the smallest assignments.

high school's no different than junior high...the only difference is that its bigger... :y
EDIT: freshman year also goes by pretty fast...and a tip: dont think youre a badass just because your in high school...trust me alot of freshman think theyre cool just cuz theyre in highschool and they end up getting jumped lol , good luck dude :scorps:

Yikes! So, you're going to be the new new kid in class because everyone else started 3 days ago? That is nerve-wrecking. Though, you'll be fine, man. Just make a balanced schedule of your social life and school-related business.

Highschool is a breeze compared to college.
Just do your work as soon as possible.
Study for tests and pass them with an A, then homework won't be a real issue.

Dude, if you think that's bad, just wait until you have a job. I think all jobs should come with free booze...or a gun with one bullet in there...either one...though you might need both. I'm just glad I'm my own boss now, and there's only a certain amount of stuff I actually have to do. xd

Do what the rest of us do. Ask your teacher for help, copy the homework, get help from a friend, or Google. I never studied for a moment in my life, and I get A's and B's. xd Studying isn't hard.

Honestly I love high school! I transferred from another school district so I had to make new friends at first. What I recommend is for you to join a club or do a sport and just talk with the other people in your club/team, that's what I did. For homework and school work do all your school work at school and do your homework at school as well (or as much as you can) then when I got home I either practice soccer or piano on weekends I hang out with friends and make new ones on weekends. Honestly it's a lot of fun except the first day... I was so scared lol.

You really can't get stuck with them because your supposed to work with your
schedule. Again it's not a big deal unless you procrastinate.
