Yea, the similarities between Naruto-Sasuke-Sakura trio and Obito-Kakashi-Rin are good, except that Sasuke went rouge, Kakshi saw some light and reverse fates happened with Naruto and Obito.
All I hope is Kishi won't be making Tobi a good man by means of Naruto's talk no jutsu in the way it happened with Nagato. A big NO, I seriously don't want that
I am saying this because Kishi has this habit of giving parallels between antagonists and protagonists in Naruto, and the bad fellows changing into good fellows after talk no jutsu

I remain skeptical to who this Tobi character is, I don't see how it can be Obito, despite the appearance.
Am I to believe that during the short time span in which where Obito died and the Kyuubi attack, that he went from being kicked around by Gai, to controlling Kurama with a 3-tomoe sharingan and forcing Minato to sacrifice himself? Also during their little exchange of words during Naruto's birth, Tobi says something along the lines of "Do you have any idea how long I've waited for this?!", if it really is Obito, he really is an impatient man.
The identity of Tobi aside! I enjoyed the flashbacks of the older generation in their younger days, seeing Asuma already wooing Kurenai in front of the academy entrance made me smile.
Also, this has been bugging me to no end:
What is Minato's face doing on the Hokage monument? If I remember correctly Minato didn't assume the position of Hokage until after the war, the war that Obito died.. or at least was crushed, so why is his faced already carved into the monument?

i just dont get it...if tobi is obito and obito and kakashi are th same age...where the hell did he find all the time in the world to do all this (come up with the eye of the moon plan, learn about madara, izuna, the uchiha, the sage, the secrets of the hidden leaf, controll yagura, learn how to controll the nine tailed fox, get the other sharingan, give nagato the rinnegan, help out itachi) and heal his body!!! it doesnt add up...he would have to have met someone who would have already known everything...someone who had connections with medical ninja...maybe orochimaru...but we also still dont really know what happened to rin either...or anything about zetsu

Really bad chapter, no dialogue, adding more plotholes to the ones that were already there, Tobi actually being Obito, even though I think there's more behind it. Maybe someones soul has been resurrected in his body idk.

like someone said before, there was a few years gap between obito's death and minato vs tobi
obito was crushed with a ****ing boulder !! yet his body seems to be pretty fine, he had to be healed in some way and i bet my socks hashirama's cells had somethin to do with it, accelerated growth could've been a side effect to this and being in a similar level than minato, given the fact that he was an uchiha (look at itachi) is not even that outrageous, specially if we can assume madara trained him for a few years

I mean ... are 99% of you kidding me right now? All of the hints leading up to this being Obito, a chapter titled, "Obito Uchiha", the mask being broken and it showing Obi-****ing-to and the lot of you are still dismissing it ?! Talk about pride, huh? Kishi has never made sense with half of the mangas he writes until later, when he decides to pop out some answers.
Okay, do you all remember when Sasuke resurrected Orochimaru because he wanted to visit "the one who knows everything"? Who is this mysterious new character in the Naruto world and if he/she knows everything, then they must have been around since the beginning. Now, could this man/woman have found Obito? It's possible. Could this man/woman have brain-washed Obito like "Tobi" did to Sasuke? That is also possible. Kishi has proved time and time again that anything is possible and yet all of you dismiss clarities beyond belief.
It'd be funny if Kishi were read narutobase threads and just said, "You know what? It's going to be Obito".
This "one who knows everything" is the biggest plot-hole in Naruto and could have easily influenced Obito. It is said the Tobi gave the rinnegan to Nagato and that it couldn't be Obito because Obito is younger than Nagato, but could it be possible that the person who gave the Rinnegan to OBITO in the first place, is this mysterious character that Sasuke has gone to see? VERY possible.
Zetsu's ability is regeneration and it is likely that, like Orochimaru and his experimentations, Obito was experimented on to regenerate his face with the Zetsu DNA. This also explains why after being burnt by Amaterasu, he regenerated his arm's tissue. So, we know that OBITO could be infused with Zetsu DNA. Is it also possible that if Zetsu's DNA, like stem cell research, could also influence his age? Yes, but people are basing his age off of the fight with the 4th when he summoned the Nine-Tails because he "looked the same". Please don't try trolling with height because during the fight, height could not possibly be distinguished. The mysterious man (keep in mind) could have also taught Obito whatever it was that he needed to know if in fact he is the one that "knows" everything.

What's so wrong with Obito being the masked man? He seems to have a personal vendetta against Kakashi, as hinted more than a dozen-damn times that he's Obito while conversing with both Kakashi and Guy, said that Guy doesn't remember faces and when you look at the flashbacks of Manga 599, Guy is fighting Obito and loses. At first I thought putting in a flashback now was ****ing ridiculous. Then I realized it probably had a purpose. And it sure did.
Just when we thought Tobi couldn't possibly be Obito.
I do believe Kishimoto takes the title of "Master Troll".
Now the questions remain; why?! And how?! Tonnes of plot holes if all Tobi's actions are supposed to have been done by Obito. There's definitely more to this tale.

Well seeing that by this time, if it were the eldest son Nagato has his rinnengan already so ya he was probably shopping around for some new eyes. The eldest son theory using his body has merit. I mean he wouldve been the one to lead madara an Izuna to getting the MS. Which makes sense, itachi was helped by the masked man, and Sasuke was helped by itachi and to an extent the masked man (notice I'm waiting til next week to say who Tobi actually is). Also the eldest son would've witnessed the de-evolution of the rinnengan to the sharingan over time (his offspring became the uchiha). Therefore could've told madara and Izuna that getting the rinnengan was possible. Which also explains his vast knowledge of history. Especially if he's using a tech like oro's where he gains the memories of his vessels also (that's a lot of vessels over time with firsthand knowledge of current events of the times). The eldest son would then have motive. He 1) wants peace like his father did. 2) is pissed because his dad chose the youngest son over him and 3) wouldve witnessed the entire history of the shonibi world and it's negative turn
That's all speculation but I like it a lot more than obito or obito being trained by madara.

Hello, this is my 1st post, think i can add more analysis and crazy stuff.
It would be good to be in Obitos feet and try to guess the holes and what could have happend.
Here is my guess......
Evidently he survived the rock, was captured and then after the war lived and trained with the other clan, maybe he stayed there more time because of a girl, or for being the only uchiha, having an uchiha on your side is a nice thing (weapon).
Remember he was of high family, supposed to be strong, and got strong.
When he came back,the uchiha told him he would be better to be dead, he was weak, a traitor and gave an eye to a non uchiha, so he was expelled and menaced to get killed if returned.
This happened in silence and all traces erased.
Now we have a reason for him to hate uchihas and the leaf.
He trained with Zetsu, his new clan and who knows, entered the Leaf many times in cover up to try to get the secrets of the uchiha clan, he did, and also he finally found Madaras tomb and got the eyes, also found the secrets of the beast.
(Remember that Madara now is inside someone else's body, the resurrection magic or whatever inputs the soul of Madara and transforms the body as the shape of last madara's body, but those are not the real physical eyes. The same applies for resurrected Pain.)
He got more powerful and collected other uchiha eyes.
He was still young, have no much idea how to use Madara's eyes, got pity of a weak boy and gave him the eyes to for research.
Fought Minato and lost, he had mastered his eye, but no the others.
Pain created Akatsuki, but Tobi influenced Pain to get the Beasts and do his plan, after fighting Minato he knew he was not powerful to do it alone.
I think we know the rest.
He knows how to use the Rinnegan, but for now is not using it at maximum, but is important that he can control other bodies, and could have done it in the past, just add a suit and mask (overing the rods ), some uchiha eyes, like he did with the other beast containers and you get more tobies, pain style.

I'm very confused, every Tobi candidate was confusing but Obito has me the most confused. Why would Obito change his mentality about the ninja world, he seemed totally at peace with his life at the time of his death. It seems evident to me that someone has influenced his views of the world. It could be Madara, but that would mean he would have to be body surfing because he couldn't live that long. Same goes for Izuna. This is also why I'm skeptical about this Izuna taking over Obito's body theory. That would have to mean that Izuna has been surfing bodies for a long time, why choose Obito? They wouldn't have known the power his mangekyou possesses.
Obito being Tobi contradicts all the time lines. how was he old enough to fight Minato? He would have been 13 at the time. Also, the masked man who controlled Yagura and helped Itachi slaughter the Uchiha clan had very long hair and seemed different to oboito. He most resembled Madara/Izuna. What makes this especially confusing is that when Kisame saw long haired and spiky haired Tobi he recognized him as Madara so there cannot be two Tobi's. How did Kisame recognize the masked man as Madara?
