good thread ! only thing i disagree with is i dont think he has the chakra base to summon ma and pa .He didnt have sage jutsu . We know that both naruto and jiraiya both had large enough chakra base to use sage jutsu.

with that said, the fourth is the best ninja, even orochimaru was mad the thee 4th became hokage and not him.and the fouth chackra levels were past tailed beast levels.,. the fourth is so fast that using his speed technique would rip you in half,, look what happen to tsunade when she nd the raikage had to teleport to fight madara

Summoning Ma and Pa doesn't require sage jutsu. the amount of chakra required to summon the creature is directly proportionate to its size. The bigger the summon is, the more chakra is required.

Not sure if you said he can use Sage Mode, but he cannot. He lacked the chakra levels to accomplish it.

Further to my point, he's on the level of alot of the trolled characters, like Kakuzu and Kisame. Badasses in their own right, but got boned by the nature of JUMP storylines.

Before some of you give violent reaction especially the haters, please read the thread thoroughly though it's long enough but with lots of evidence from the databook and manga. Okay, after I saw how easily Tobi evaded Naruto, kakashi, B and Gai’s attack in the previous chapters, it made me think how balance Minato’s jutsus were. Some may say that he got a few so there’s no way he can be considered extremely powerful. Come to think of it, is this really true? Can we determine who the strongest shinobi based on how powerful the jutsu is? Or how devastating it is? Or by how useful it is in battle? Let me break down Minato’s arsenal and why I considered him to be the strongest as to this point.

Aside from having the speed and intelligence feats, his arsenal was made of Seals, Summoning, Space time tech, and Rasengan. Did i miss something? I think this is all he showed us so far but it doesn’t mean he is limited to these techs (i’m referring to his ninjutsu). Now, how can he be considered powerful having this few arsenal? Let's take a look......

Sealing Techniques: Some considered this tech or counted this as only one tech or two perhaps because he only showed us few. Let me get this straight....How can he be considered a master of seals if he has limited knowledge about it? Did everyone forget that he was taught by Kushina the Uzumaki’s secret sealing techs? How many are they? Could it be possibly be a hundred or even a thousand? Well, who knows...he probably knows a 100 of it or even a 1000 plus his own variation like the 8 trigrams seal. Kindly check this out:

Uzumaki clan was feared by many because of their sealing techniques. Their sealing techs alone is a major threat. These sealing techs were passed down to someone who is incredibly fast, genius, can use S/T techs, and can summon different varieties of toads with different abilities. How much of a threat can this person be if the Uzumaki sealing techs that was feared by many was added to his arsenal?


Summoning:Minato has the contract with the toads. It is not a contract with gamabunta but with the toads living in Myoubokuzan. The 3rd databook says that upon signing a pact, the contractor is bound to all the Toads in Myoubokuzan. Not only he can summon Bunta but he can summon Ma and Pa and all toads living in that mountain. How can he use this to his advantage? You'll see later... Take note that it was even said that Minato was a better summoner than Jiraiya.

Now, how can he use this to his advantage?

1. He can summon Ma and Pa

a.) Fukasaku: When he steps into the battle field, he unleashes jutsu with a skill that can only be described as worthy of the gods. Also excels in using ninja tools and can use sage jutsu

b.) Shima: Can analyze the situation instantly during a fight, can use her sensory skills, and can also use sage mode.

During Jiraiya's fight with Pain, Shima uses her tongue to detect the invisible enemy

By combining lyrics and melody that only toads can produce, Shima and Fukasaku can cast the most powerful genjutsu known as Gamarinsho. Take note that the jutsu will succeed even if the target is with earshot

Summoning Ma and Pa gives Minato an advantage in terms of Genjutsu. Not only they can cast the most powerful genjutsu, they can also use sage mode which increases the strength of their ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu abilities.

2. Can summon Gamabunta the boss of the toad: Bunta can use Water Release jutsu like cannon ball and can spew oil from his mouth that can be used in a synchronised collaboration jutsu. Minato can sync bunta's oil and fire to produce a fire based technique which is stronger than an ordinary fire tech

3. Minato can summon the Gourd Toad Gamahyotan: It has the ability to drag the enemy into his stomach. A sealed dimension from which there is no escape. We know how a gourd works like the one the KinGin bro's used but unlike the Crimson Gourd where it will consume enormous amounts of chakra, Minato can use Gamahyotan's abilities without using too much chakra.

4. Minato can also use Food cart destroyer by summoning gamabunta:

Note: These toads are one of those that Minato can summon to help him in a battle

Space time tech: We know how this works and we know that Minato can use Space time Barrier to redirect attacks. Using this as his defence can make MA and PA do Gamarinsho. It also makes him difficult to attack.

Rasengan: This jutsu can do heavy damage to an opponent. Even Kabuto had trouble healing his wounds after being hit in Part 1.

But he can't use his own chakra to summon Bunta. He needed Kurama's chakra to be able to summon Bunta.

It was said that Minato was able to summon Bunta in his youth. He can also summon bunta using food cart destroyer. In part 1, Jiraiya was able to use food cart destroyer by summoning Gamahiro which is smaller in size compared to Bunta.

Take note that the the amount of chakra required to summon the creature is directly proportionate to its size.

Suppressing Kurama during Naruto's birth, using FTG in many occasions during his fight with TObi, redirecting TBB, summoning bunta, teleporting both TBB and Kurama, using the RDS, 8 trigrams and sealing his remaining chakra in Naruto shows that Minato had a large chakra pool.

Now, combined Minato's speed, intelligence, sealing expertise, summons (gives him varieties of techs from different specie that he summons), FTG, chakra supply, and the ability to create many jutsu's according to his own style, is he the type of shinobi anyone can mess with? His speed alone is hard to deal with, how much more if he summons the toads mentioned above or he uses the Uzumaki's sealing techs.

With this balance of power, he is definitely a BOSS and is hard to deal with!!

Minato deflecting kunais with a shuriken. Here it shows how fast Minato can throw and how accurate he is at throwing shurikens. If all of you have noticed, Kakashi was already moving towards the enemy using chidori before the enemy throw his kunais but Minato was able to deflect it with shuriken using only one hand and at a distance far enough.

This was fantastic, I hate how underrated Minato is as a Hokage and as a shinobi overall. People always say how he has been surpassed by Naruto, and that the third hokage is the strongest hokage...but it's so untrue.

ok tell me how hashi is greater than minato by hype? where is the scan that points hashi is the greatest? his jutsu? we saw powerful jutsu but can do nothing if they cant hit thier opponents. tell me why oro summons minato last like a trump card and why hiruzen tried to stop that coffin if he is wayyyyyy weaker compared to hashirama as they claimed he is. tell me why hashirama was called strongest of HIS TIME? if he is the strongest he should be call ALL TIME.

Gawd can Dantee stop this nonsense. In fact this naruto and co vs sasuke and co friction is getting annoying. If you have something that you dont agree on simply state it and leave. For example although i didnt read the full thread, just from what ive read i can come up with a few things to disagree on.

First is the issue when you claimed naruto needed the fox help to summon gamabunta and stated that minato didnt or something like that which means minato has a large chakra reserve, however you are wrong. The reason for naruto using the fox to summon gamabunta was for 2 reasons. Firstly during that arc naruto was learning chakra control, how to work on water with ibusi (sp).. Jiraiya later took over his training and noted orochimaru's Gogyo Fuin which affected naruto's chakra control. Jiraiya later got rid of it with the Gogyo Kaiin which allowed naruto to increase his chakra control to the extent of being able to work on water. However this wasnt enough to summon gamabunta and thats why jiraiya had pushed him off the cliff. I cannot remember correctly but wasnt naruto later able to summon it against gaara with his own chakra

Part 1 naruto had a stamina rating of 4 which is more than enough to summon gamabunta. Its just that his chakra control wasnt there. Other ninja's, for example orochimaru and sasuke both have a stamina of 3.5 and were able to summon manda who's size is roughly equal to gamabunta and may i say sasuke was very low on chakra and still managed this feat. The reason is because they have better chakra control than naruto. Moral of the story, naruto needing the fox to summon gamabunta was more to do withchakra control issues than him not having the chakra to do so.

Second is minato's element which so far nobody know's. That card game thing you uploaded is from a previous thread and you acknowledged that it wasnt a good enough backing for minato having this element. Cannot remember but you claimed the card was made it 2002. Do you now why the card game gave him these elelemnts?. Its because they have done something that alot of people have done before. They have played with his name and from that came up with these elements for him.

This could explain where they got the wind affinity from;
"Minato" means "harbour" (港) and "Namikaze" means "waves and wind"

His trade mark technique flying thunder god, is also where they could have gotten the lightning affinity from.

Majority of what you have said has been based on summonings and you its seems like thats what you are leaning majority of his abilities/powers to however he isnt jiraiya. Jiraiya's fighting style is very much relies on summon's. Infact majority of his technique's are influenced by the frogs one way or another. Jiraiya is very experienced with the technique's of the frogs, something that i dont believe minato is. To put it simply he can possible summon the frogs however some of the technique's that jiraiya arent to be pushed on minato as his arsenal because as i noted jiraiya is very experienced with such jutsu's and has molded his fighting style around that

I commend your effort because you have gone through every little possible thing which could hint to minato having certain abilities, either from the db entry on himself, card games, jiraiya's abilities and to an extent im not sure why you took this much time to create a thread about a dead ninja's abilities when they arent coming back. However ill + rep you for the effort.

ok for me it was too long, but i know minato is the strongest based on three facts, so you didnt have to make it too long,,,, check it, fact.1.. he hit tobi and took tje tails away from him just like the first hokage did..fact.2... he summoned bunta, jiraiyas main toad summoning,, and fact.3.. the3rd hokage quickly stopped orochimaru from summoning the 4th back with the 1st and 2nd, as the 3rd said he must do anything to keep the 4th from coming back,,.. plus the 4th never finished his sage training, that was obvious.
