My definition of a "Double Mangekyou". (Read this sasuke fans)
Sasuke stated that in order for one to achieve the power of susanoo, he must have a "double" mangekyou.
Observe:
Have you all noticed that all other MS users besides Madara and Itachi and Sasuke, have the SAME abilities in BOTH eyes? For example Obito has Kamui in both of his and the power of his eyes do not differentiate at all. Same goes Shisui who has only KA in both of his eyes....
Interpretation:
To have susanoo you DON'T need amaturasu and tsykiyomi, but you rather must have different MS techniques in EACH eye. I believe that is why sasukay never said you must have amaturasu and tsykiyomi. That also adds on to why sasuke can't use tsykiyomi, but rather than a generic MS sharingan like Madara. Go read the fight with kabuto again. He never said Tsykiyomi when he genjutsud Itachi while Itachi did say it. Even more proof is that Itachi was able to control kabuto with the same technique that sasuke used on a hidden cloud village when he was trying to find bee. Itachi did not use Tsykiyomi, but rather a generic MS technique, same as what sasuke and Madara have. He used his eye that posses the ability of amaturasu to control him. Makes sense no?
The reason Sasuke has Susanoo though:
Sasuke does have ANOTHER ability in his right eye. That's the power to CONTROL the amaturasu flames. That's his other ability that granted him susanoo. So Sasuke doesn't have Tsykiyomi but still a rather powerful MS genjutsu.
It all ties in perfectly.
Notice: When Itachi crippled Kabuto, he was blind in the eye which possessed his ability to use Tsykiyomi. Yet he still was able to control Kabuto without it. Why? Because every MS user has a generic MS sharingan genjutsu, which can be used to control other people or the kyubi, but not as big as the scale of Tsykiyomi and KA. Tobi didn't have Tsykiyomi, but still controlled the kyubi.
