I agree about it being Obito's dad, however I don't think he wanted to punish Konoha for Obito's death.. When he said this he still pretended to be Madara.
I think Obito's death affected him, but not only Obito's death but the experience of the whole shinobi world.

Tobi doesnt use mangekyo. his S/T techniques are a ninjutsu not a dojutsu

so to say that the technique kakashi inherited is from obito, and tobi has the same "technique," so they could be the same isnt correct.
what tobi uses to dematerialize isnt a sharingan technique :flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw:

this is a wonderful theory but i still haven't quite let go of tobi being obito. maybe madara found and saved obito and like brain washed him or something because this moon's eye plan seems a little more like something madara came up with not tobi. and tobi has lost limbs and replaced eyes multiple times leading me to believe he has had some kind of surgical background possibly taught to him by madara when he saved his life. idk...this is a work in progress

all i know that tobi was controled by zetsu..part of tobi was zetsu's body...if you recall wat hapen to tobis hand while fighting to danzo bodyguard, one of his hand been cut. *not so much detail* but his hand return like it was never been loose..only zetsu can regenerate his body...TOBI IS NOT PICCOLO

Okay now I know for sure Tobi is Izuna!
My theory
After Madara fought Hashirama even though he unlocked the Rennigan the battle left him on the brink of death. He used some haxxed Rennigan ability to bring his brother back to life and intrust him with his rennigan and his master plan. Since its proven rennigan users can work with the deceased souls. Since Tobi had the Rennigan I'm guessing he knew some overly haxxed soul ability to allow Madara to manifest in the living world to meet Nagato to make sure he was good enough to wield his rennigan and carry on his plan to revive him (cus Tobi wouldn't be able to do it, because his chakra wasn't potent enough) then he faded away back to the after-life.

Also I'll go further to say Obito was a descendant of Izuna who's sharingan allowed him to use space time-ninjustsu. (the two older brothers Hashi and Madara had the ability to control Bijuu, while the 2 younger brothers Tobimaru and Izuna could use space time ninjutsu.) If allowed the chance to mature and unlock his full potential Obito would have had similar abilities to him. Hints why Kakashi and his sharingan link to the same dimension cus Obito's blood was strongly connected to Izuna/Tobi. Hints how its feasible to think people with strong connected bloodlines can use related Mangekyo techs. Sasuke* Itachi*
