Can someone explain to me why some shadow clones remain alive after being hit when they normally go *poof*? I've seen it happen in some episodes and chapters and I go, "WTF, KISHI?" And I'm not talking about wood style clones or anything. I'm talking about the fodder kind of clones (shadow, water, etc.)

Maybe they're stronger than normal shadow clones

Shadow clones remain on how much chakra or sometimes will power you have to keep them up but they only disperse defenetly when they are stabed or hit really hard

If its Madaras clones then its simple hes using Shodaimes Perfect Clones and also narutos KM clones can take a punch I believe since in KM hes full of life force that they are close to Perfect clones aswell therefore can take a punch or two.

naruto km is durable because of km chakra

o rly?

Depends on the amount of chakra you put in.......maybe

Durability has nothing to do with chakra

Mokuton bunshins are durable

KM clones just have humongous chakra and can last longer but tobi finished off a KM clone with one strike

KM clones have so much chakra it's like taking on the real person.

Some clones are lazy and don't feel like fighting in the first place

I figure it is just how hard they hit them. Have you taken a look at the attacks themselves. They may have not been that strong of an attack

its the first thing i thought about after reading the latest chapter.tobi one blow k.o a clone of naruto and so his clones were able (with help) take out POWERFULL enemies in the war.its a flaw in his writing.i guess the more naruto progresses as a series the less it has to make sense i guess.ninjas are fighting bugs and apes in the 4th war who saw that crap coming

they took on powerful enemies cause they have large chakra and can last longer than normal clone but i don't remember any one of them taking a direct hit and surviving

if you want to criticize the writing of the manga post a page where a KM shadow clone has been shown to take a hit and survive

Naruto's shadow clones go poof easily coz he makes a lot of them and which makes difficult to focus.
On the other hand say Kakashi while Pain invasion, effectively uses clone. It depends on chakra amount, control and focus.
