My opinion is that religion is made up yes. But if say christianity wasnt made up but really was the word of god than you are effectively saying that evey other religion is wrong. Why are there so many religions thenk, surely at best all but one are man made? Why not christianity? The Bible (old and new testament) was written in two languages, the word of god indeed.

Being straight is a choice. I have control over my life in all facets. That is why claiming gays have no say in the matter is the common, yet incorrect, response. As far as bible talk goes I am trying to limit it as well and I appreciate that you are doing the same as well. There is much more to it then the stereotype "love and peace" idea. That is the common misconception from those that have never read the book.

I really, honestly thought that the person telling me about it was lying or just making up some strange rumor. To this day I look at men sometimes and I'm grossed out; not because I'm thinking about gay men, just males in general.

Lesbianism I understand completely, that makes sense and I have no problem with it. If I was female I'd be lesbian too. xd I'm still trying to figure out what straight girls find so attractive about the male body...it's disgusting.

I put homosexuality right up their with a persons choice to be an alcoholic, drug addict, or cheating on your spouse. The common denominator is they are all wrong choices but they are also all yours to make. It is your life to lead however you see fit. Unless your bad choices are affecting my life I won't need to "start" anything, and "starting" anything would only involve talking the matter over.

addiction is sad because it seemingly takes away your choices. people seem to assume that you can pop out of it as easily as you fell into it, but it doesn't work like that. Quitting ain't easy and it takes years of failing to finally quit.

The reason there are multiple religions even in christianity is how you interpret what you read. If you have ever played a game of telephone you see how distorted the original message becomes. This is the same with the bible, which is why it helps to study words and their original meaning in Herbrew.
