I was thinking about this, maybe he IS the one that can beat him. Hashi was a master of the wood style so maybe his wood jutsus had special sealing attributes.

I'm not sure there is a way for him to defeat Madara solely because Madara now is Madara + Hashirama. I guess the way I see it is that if Hashi is an expert in medical jutsu he can do something like what Tsunade did to Kabuto and mess up his body's orientation and, while Madara figures out what happened, seal him. That's just about all I can think of, though.

yea but would madara have that ability too even if madara didn't have it he already has high scale jutsu.

The only reason why Madara is saying hasirama could be the only 1 to beat him is becuase he wants a real challenge and not waste his time with 5 pathetic kages at his mercy. He wants someone to revive hashirama so he could show his TRUE powers this time.

Madara couldn't use Perfect susano at that current lvl. He need the rinnegan to increase his doujutsu power and his chakra.

Plus EMS Madara would have won that battle, but the only reason he lost was to merely obtain Hashirama's senju dna.

it actually never said he used his perfect susanno but it seems that madara will used that on the 1st hokage since hashirama has wood release, but i mean madara said that he wanted his dna so i wouldn't think madara would want to use it to kill hashirama because they seem equal in power but who knows what really happened.

Tobi is intangible. Madara might not know this fact and could underestimate him kinda like what Minato did. Minato only survived because of his own S/T technique. As of now, Madara might not have a S/T ability. Plus, they're allies(supposedly), making it that much easier for Tobi to get close to him.
