Itachi sacrificed way more for the village than Tsunade ever did and on top of that set up his own death for what he had to do.

Itachi is significantly more intelligent than Tsunade and can plan ahead + he was considered a genius and called a genius by other ppl whom they them selves were considered geniuses(Kakashi)

Itachi can beat Tsunade in a fight no problem. She's slow as hell and cant avoid amaterasu. She could easily get caught in his Tusukyomi. She cant break through Yata mirror. And no amount of healing can bring her back from sword of totsuka stab/slash.

So overall Itachi would have made a better hokage than tsunade.

she was barley keeping them alive. Itachi kept them alive and unhurt by stopping a massacre that wuld happen in a civil war and on top of that a full on war with other nations. Fire Nation in whole is > than just Konohana village.

Just because he made a greater sacrifice doesn't mean that he is more qualified for the position of Hokage. Tsunade also loves the village and would do anything to protect it like she did against pain.

wow another tsunade - hater - thread. How......surprising. One just cannot compare these two. Tsunade sacrificed her life almost in the same way as previous Hokages...she chose to die rather than let the villagers die. Sure Itachi did a great sacrifice, but remember he knew about the Uchiha plan. Tsunade was not even in the village at that time. Plus As Hokage he wouldn´t be able to do the thing he did, because as Hokage he is not allowed to harm the village in any way - no Uchiha masacre, no Sasuke trauma . Look at Sarutobi, he knew about the Uchihas, yet he chose a peaceful way, because if he did attack Uchiha, he would have been feared and not respected by the villagers anymore - like Itachi was the Legendary Killer.

and not really she's pretty slow. You have to be insanely fast to dodge amaterasu and not getting caught in genjutsu wuld be hard for her cuz she's close combat fighter. On top of that itachi has sharingan which conserves chakra insanely well and he's been shown to be able to take on ppl with a lot more chakra than himself.

Hokage. To be hokage! Itachis views on being hokage were given to naruto in #whatever manga. To become hokage is not to be it, then get become recognized by the people. It is to first be recognized by the people and then become hokage.

Theres plenty of leaf fighters who have been stronger then tsunade. So that really shouldn't be in question here. Which is defintely what most of your data expresses. I don't think itachi being a stronger fighter then tsunade is in question.

But for being a better hokage. Tsunade was openly invited as hokage and openly accepted. And has openly lead the leaf village for years.

All of itachis actions for the village have been in secret and hidden. He was an anbu and under the direction of Danzo himself. We think of danzo when we think of secret and hidden methods.

Anyway itachis contribution to the village was not that of a hokage. It was more of a sacrifice directed and threatened by danzo. In the last chapter it was revealed more that itachi didn't simply want to kill his clan cause they were evil. It was that he had no choice but to save his brother. Either his brother survived. Or no one did.

Itachi had the strength and power to rank up there with the hokages possibly. But it wasn't in the cards for his life. He walked a different path.

Actually, she has great knowledge, which is why she was chosen for the position. She is 50+ years old and has a lot of experience with ninja villages. She was even trained by the third hokage, which is considerable in itself.

Se has average speed, but great evasion skills as a medic-nin. Though it would take more than that to dodge amaterasu and avoid genjutsu, she is still very formidable in battle.

I dont think power alone decides the post of Hokage, Itachi did more for the village than anyone ever could keeping their sanity intact. Tsunade is a great Hokage and all but i think Itachi deserves a little bit of more love, pity and recognition than people here are willing to give.
