So when they said that Oro developed it, maybe in the use of the Edo's original techs and controlling them became easier not that he developed it and got to summon 2 Kages.

Tobirama's S/T Jutsu was never said to be on par with FTG.
Also in the manga it was hashirama who used bringer of darkness, not tobirama.

I believe Gaara's defense is WAy too much for anything we have seen from tobirama... I mean we know so little i hate to debate this but mizukage's attacks are only subject to S/T (mainly tobi's) and Susano(ish) i mean she melted a susano. To much for Tobirama imo.

First of all his edo was a prototype for all we know he could summon zombie defects that do nothing, therefore undebatable.

Bringer of darkness is Hashi's(manga)

He has too few feats in general.

Gaara's sand is more based on chakra than anything else and is a very enhanced defense. It stoped Raikage's kick easily as we saw at the summit, It also help against 1000s of lbs of ceiling coming down rather easily. I think you may underestimate gaara. I mean his (mom) technique is an amazing technique holding up to madara and other strong edo's
