Somehow, I don't think you people are reading and watching the same thing I am. First of all think about the ages of team 7 and the supporting cast. In the first part where she was super annoying an whinny she was a preteen girl. She wasn't confident she struggle with discovering who she was and most of all she clearly doesn't understand her feelings for Naruto or Sasake. I was around a lot of preteen girls who struggled with their image and confidence. Even with girls that tried to understand feelings they felt for some of their closest guy friends at the time. For all of you girls on here you can't tell me that you didn't have at least one friend around the 11 yr range that probably needed some therapy for confidence issues. So for that I'm going to point out Sakura's strengths in part one. Number one she had more chakara control than probably anyone her age because she had the mental focus and determination that most of her classmates lacked. She was probably second in intelligence and strategy in her class only outshined by the likes of Shikamaru whose main strength is his intelligence. She clearly helps Naruto and sasake read enemies in some of their earlier missions. Her main strength in the first part is that she holds their team together. She helps give Naruto and Sasake focus and direction. Remember in their first mission with Kakashi where he forbids them to give Naruto any food and Sakura breaks the rules and talks Sasake into giving him the food anyways. She is able to control her chakara better than them and they practice their control to catch up to her early in the series. Sakura is the voice of moderation between Naruto and Sasake. Sasake is a hardworking no nonsense genius, Naruto is a flakey misunderstood rogue, and Sakura is an intelligent focused kind-hearted person. It took Sakura being in their group for Sasake and Naruto to develope as both characters and ninja. That is where she shines in the first series. Sure she whines and screams Sasake kun all the time, but for the love of god its the same crap as an 11 yr old being in love with Justin Bieber. Sure it's annoying but lots of girls do it, so technically its an accurate portrayal of a preteen girl by kishi.

As for the series two you people are just trolling us. She shows medical ninjutsu and skill that rival Tsunade's. Her chakra control is better than almost any in the ninja world. She is able to find a cure for a poison and remove it in mere hours. She is able to dodge for most of a half hour long fight with Sasori, a ninja on a Kage level. She was able to strategize an end game in that fight. She talks herself into going to kill someone she is in love with for the good of her village. Shows leadership ability and greater intelligence for discovering a zetsu clone. Sure she froze under pressure when she met with Sasake, but she was in love with him. This isn't creative or weak of her. This story has been done for hundreds of years in thousands of stories, why? Well its part of human nature. Ask yourself could you kill someone you loved without hesitation if you knew it would save the lives of others. Is Sakura weak, lol you guys have to be kidding. She isn't Hinata who can only demonstrate how she feels through action, Sakura is emotion driven and that most certainly isn't a weakness. Emotional conviction can be stronger than most realize, ask any mother on the planet. Do I like Sakura, she's not my favorite female character in the series, but yeah I like her. To be honest, she's probably the most realistic character in the whole Narutoverse. Most people just want to see a strong bad ass ninja girl, but what's wrong with an emotional one that can set her feelings and emotions aside every once in awhile and get the job done.

This ;)

Stfu haters.

few flaws? like going after the "badboy" who wants to cut her up, whinning and blameing naruto for everything, always hitting naruto, weak and caused naruto alot of pain. much more than a few flaws, were not saying women are hated its saukra, most people saying stuff like you are women defending someone who doesnt need it. bottom line sakura resembles most american girls who overlook the real guy who loves them and goes after the cool kid or the rich guy who basically treats them like a hoe.

you have been severed

U talkn from xperience friend??

Why hate sakura? I'm curious. I don't think there is a legit reason.

I mean Naruto still hasn't given up on Sasuke as a friend? Why should Sakura have to give up on him as a possible partner? She hestiated to kill him... Naruto probaly would too, unless lives were at stake.

So WHy do you hate Sakura?

Sakura is a b**ch that only likes the kool guys.Look at Naruto. She treated the guy like a dog for most of the time until everyone in the village start liking him after he saved their asses. When Naruto become a hero she is all like "I love you, Naruto" which is total B.S

because through out the entire show they keep mention her potential to be this great ninja but she has shown little progress except the 3 year time warp. She suppose to be this genjutsu expert but she has never shown it. She freaking head over heels in love with a guy for no reason who has shun her for years in every way shape or form. but that Nihon culture for ya

Don't know why people hate Sakura so much. She isn't a character I like but I don't hate her at all. The only thing I disliked was that she thought she could kill Sasuke I was like wow she's going to get owned. I thought what Sakura was doing during that Kage Summit Arc was kind of foolish but it does remind me of Itachi for some reason.

I also hate how people hate Sakura and/or Sasuke because those two characters think Naruto is annoying.

See naruto likes sakura but doesn't go for Hinata who is clearly the better choice for him.

Sakura is effectively doing the same thing with sasuke.

I think the reason she gets so much hate tho is cos she whines and is annoying. Compared to the strong naruto she much look very weak.

As the manga clearly shows the people of the village are like children to the elders. Hiruzen makes this point very clear. So technically the ninja are always suppose to act as parents a point you clearly overlook.

However hiruzen and the elders are people who dont let there emotions make there decisions unlike sakura Proof they agreed to the uchiha clan massacre Ultimately shinobi are not supposed to show there emotions it is one of there sayings

True that the village are children to the elders however a good parent/shinobi must be strong and make tough decisions for the well being of there children/village.Sakura maybe very skilled but she lacks the ability to make tough decisions. She might be a very realistic young female character however a very realistic young female character is not a good shinobi. Being a shinobi is a big sacrifice. Since she is in fact a shinobi her actions/behavior constant crying ect. are not acceptable and cannot be justified due to the fact that she agreed to be a shinobi.

IMO I don't hate Sakura or anything. She's not high on my favorite lists though.

Her mind-set was to kill Sasuke to make sure he doesn't step further into darkness. A plausible option. But she didn't go through with it. Through her eyes, Sakura was going to kill Sasuke for the village's sake, to destroy the burden she put on Naruto... and even help Sasuke himself. But she didn't do it. I mean there are times where you need to put aside your emotions and get the job time.

I don't mean to sound like I'm bashing her, it's just her character from my POV.

Oh you mean like Hiruzen, one of the manga's wisest Shinobi and the hokage of the leaf decided to let Orochimaru walk away after comitting murder. Yea his emotions and connections never made him make the wrong the decision. You realize you have no basis and the fact is your emotions sometimes get the best of even the wisest people. Human nature outweighs the human ideal a lot of the time.

What about the elders? Hiruzen and sakura's situations are completely different. Hiruzen may have made a bad decision with oro but he knew that he was to weak to do what was necessary. In the end he still built up the courage to do his job by preventing oro from being able to harm the village. He made the ultimate sacrifice of giving his life for the village and still did what he failed to do in the first place. Sakura however has cried countless times over and over again in random situations this is not what shinobi should do. Im simply saying that sakura's behavior throughout the series is not acceptable as a shinobi.

What people fail to understand , is that she is a Female character ...of course part of her character would be crying and sometimes relying on/getting saved by guys ..

I'm not saying that women are weak by anymeans ..but that's sort of what mostly differs between a Male and Female ...the Female is more emotional for the most part ..,

that's part of the feminine characterstics !

and Chatte great post , and I agree most of the Haters just hate on her , because they find it cool to do so !

U your self said wothless.....

Also didnt i say i hate her personality and behavior . . . . people tend to judge by battle powers only, she can be stronger than SO6P but she will still remain a immature, weak minded and unwantedly aggressive girl. U cant blame me if i dislike such qualities while rational mind wont deny her skill and power. She was personally trained by Tsunade and thus every bit up to the expectations, but skill and battle power does not make a person. U called the elderly Chiyo worthless, who despite her advanced age and mental stress for facing her own grand son did the best she cld and was the main reason for the victory (Sasori actually died out of his own wish) as much as Sakura. Then sacrificed herself for the good of her village. So u r not so ulike 'others' in the base.

U nearly made me cry . . . the poor guy. I feel deeply for him, i too went rather suicidal, it was my sister that brought me back to sense. U admire ur self control a lot, i would not have stopped at a mere slap.

roflll ok ok so i didn't mean worthless. i was quite irate at the time. it just came out because i was speaking along the lines of "she was going to die for gaara anyway". not so much "worthless" but so much as her near death was pretty inevitable, and i knew this even before the chapter she revived gaara
