Does Sasuke have the potential to be greater than Madara?

The final battle between Naruto and Sasuke has been prophesied by the Elder Toad. Naruto is already gathering enormous power to become the next SO6P (as acknowledged by the Bijuu), therefore to make the battle somewhat interesting, Sasuke will have to be on par level for the fight or it end up being a slaughter.

The last Uchiha looked upon as having the same potential as Madara was Itachi not Sasuke, even their own mother praised Itachi as being 'special'. Therefore does Sasuke have the ability to surpass Madara or will Naruto have to 'power down' to make the final battle somewhat passable. I'm thinking acquisition of rinnegan by Sasuke from the scroll Suigetsu found. Who knows? Your guys thoughts?

That's the whole aim of the story, naruto dream is to be the strongest hokage ever and get everyone to acknowledge him. Dude he's the main character.

I personally think sasuke getting stronger than Madara is bs and Madara chakra has more evil chakra and bigger chakra

Yes, mabey not edo madara though, he had hashis jutsu as well so i would count those abilities.

I said this before in another post but yes I believe given the tone and direction of this manga Sasuke is not only likely to surpass ALL other Uchihas but he is poised to do so as well.

Point and case- He has access to all of Orochimaru and Kabutos experiment info after he finishes with kabuto(whether he kills him or not) so he can get any power edo madara had. He has accelerated to only needing to acquire the rinnegan by age 16 or 17. How old was Madara again by the time he was near activating the rinnegan. Not to mention the obvious he and Naruto are going to be the two strongest characters by the mangas end.

Orochimaru said it from the beginning of the show that Sasuke had the potential to be stronger then Itachi. His eyes have greater potential. Plus he now has EMS, by technicalities he is already stronger then Itachi and should be able to advance from this point in who knows what way!

Let me refrase the the title of this thread : Sasuke has the potential to surpass Uchiha Madara = Obvious.

In Kishis mind Uchiha Madara is just a phase , Sasuke and Naruto have been both the main priorities in the Manga.

^ I agree because obviously Sasuke is VERY determined now to stay on the path of revenge. You pretty much sumed it up to the exact point. There is no questioning the fact that Sasuke is now the ultimate vilan here
