[Suggestion] New Section

~GFX Resources Section~


So here's my suggestion:

My Suggestion is to create a new section in the GFX Base, exclusively for resources ( such as render packs, psd packs, fonts, brushes, stocks, etc...).

Why: I believe that this would be actually something that the GFX Base would benefit from as well as other GFXers, It would be a great source of information for all of the beginners regarding GFX, Yes I know that we already have a Tutorials section, but that is mostly for help and/or tutorials. This section would be quite different, here members would be able to share different resources that are known to them.

Note: Also if there was a ROTW like McRazor previously suggested, the competitors could display their renders AFTER the competition in this section.

What would be in the new forum?

• Anime Renders.

• Game Renders.

• Non-Anime Renders.

• Ecchi Renders.

• Brushes.

• Fonts.

• Stocks.

• Textures.

• PSD Packs.

• C4D Renders.

• Fractal Renders.

These are some rules that could be implemented ~



-No ripping/stealing.

-No plagiarism of textual materials such as tutorials.

-If the image you are posting is too big use a thumbnail or a link for it.

However as good as this sounds... There is one small drawback, such as people, who are looking for these kind of resources, joining merely to acquire them and downloading them.

To overcome this I suggest that, the administrators close off this section.

The requirements to be able to access this section could be:

-Have at least 1,000 posts.
-Be a member for at least one month.
-Premium Membership (which would of course allow you to access the section regardless of the requirements previously mentioned).

Side Note: I'm not sure if vBulletin has the capablities to do this sort of thing, but I am sure something similar to the access of the Medical School could be implented.​

We have a Resources Section on OPB, so I don't see why we shouldn't have one here.

Pretty much everything is copyrighted and "right credits" doesn't fix a copyright issue.
That's why we shouldn't have this rule.

IDK, sounds like a lot of work and space needed just for this section alone. Can NB handle that much data?

It already does handle that much, lots of threads with tutorials.
Also threads with PSD packs etc.

I don't see how it couldn't handle a few hundred more linked images. ._.

Oh and I just think we should have a "Resources" Section and people just post their stuff with no special restrictions.

It might look that way but its simply because people would only be joining for the specific reasons I listed above, maybe it could be reduced but I believe that if you are going to join a forum at least do it for something else and not just to steal work from others, etc...

We won't get any C4D's or Fractals in there if we ask the creators for credits since a lot of Packs out there are pretty old and a lot of people don't want their stuff posted on other sites.

Well you have a point there o.o this is merely an idea so the rules could be modified according to the administrators.

We should just post various Fractals packs and give credit to the original asking and also adding a note saying that you didn't made any of it - You're merely posting it.

And I don't think that the Admins care that much about the GFX Section.

Donate the cash for the extra things needed to host such a section and I'll agree. I'm sure such a section could create a financial as well as mental burden on Versuvio because space would have to be allotted to host all of those resources (i.e. data).

Now I could be mistaken, but it sounds like an awful lot of images would be hosted in this section and if it's connected to the rest of the site, it could slow the servers down. Shell out the cash or find someone who will. .-.
