Kobe Bryant could if he was in the East... come on now! The East was such a weak conference back then. They went through the Washington Wizards and New Jersey Nets to get to the Eastern Conference Finals where they actually faced some competition in the East which were the Detroit Pistons... and then they got SWEPT in the NBA Finals.

Kobe Bryant wouldn't have allowed his team to get swept on the biggest stage of them all... whether he had to put up 81 or more back then...

LeBron James is the BEST Player in the League ONLY IF you take Kobe Bryant out of the equation.

Yes, they did get swept, but that's not the finals is it? Furthermore, no one else but Kobe were doing anything. Pau was having problems mentally clearly, Bynum was frustrated, etc... Kobe was pretty much just getting double-teamed the entire time. At least the majority of those Cavs players back then would put for effort and energy which the Lakers lacked last year.

I guess LBJ is better than KB24, I'm just not seeing it. Kobe may be getting old yet he does such a great job adjusting his game with his age that it doesn't really matter. He still hits clutch shots, scores in the post, and embarrasses the younger players such as Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, etc... the power of youth seems to be overrated. LeBron went to South Beach because he needed someone who could clean up his mess when he chokes. *CoughDWadeCough*

Honestly, I have no problem with LeBron. I think he is the second best player in the NBA and will be #1 once Kobe retires. I just can't give him that title just yet...

East may have been weak but to beat in the playoffs and to carry a team by himself, i mean the team couldn't sustain an offense for 3 minutes without lebron i remember one game where lebron either scored or assisted on every point in the 4th quarter for the cavs and they scored 35 it was rediculous
