I´d like to say J-man wins this... but I dont think so...
I think, Itachi wasnt shure of Jmans strenght in part one, he just knew that Jman was ****ing strong. Additional he didnt want to fight his former allys so he decided to flee, becaue he was shure that he couldnt win the fight on an instant.
That wouldve meant that someone wouldve noticed it and it wouldve turned into a massacre right there in that little village.


Jman is a beast and when it comes to Ninjutsu he is better than itachi. he has impressive sealingtechniques and so on.
But in a fight he would lose.

Ok Time to finish this thread let u see the realistic scenario where Jiraiya wins

-Jiraiya summons Ma and Pa frogs
-Ma and Pa frogs rev summon Naruto (they can do that) shown already in manga
-Naruto is now Jiraiya's summon
As everything is allowed and both people will do everything in their power to win This argument is valid

Its just the same as someone using edo tensei or animals as summon
Jiraiya has the abilty to get Naruto summoned to aid him in battle So Jiraiya > Itachi

Jiraiya can avoid easily Amaterasu. He is incredibly fast with sunshin no jutsu and in normal speed with sage mode. He also could use a smoke bomb and do a surprise attack just like I show at the end of the post.

About Tsukiyomi, well, I don't know why should Jiraiya look at his eyes. Having a sensor like Ma in his shoulder, it isn't a problem.

well, if people ever wanted to know how Sage mode would pair up against MS/EMS, well, are you currently reading the latest manga's? because umm....preeetttyy sure sage mode kabuto is fighting Sasuke and Itachi at the same time and winning. If it wasn't for being an "edo", Itachi might possibly be dead already from the fight. kabuto's version of toad mouth trap backs up what I've said from the start. plus sage mode gives you INSANE sensory and reflexes(able to dodge amaterasu apparently). so yeah, if jiraiya goes sage mode, I'm sure he could take Itachi AND kisame for that matter. kinda how they already admitted in the show....you know, the words Kishi wrote on paper

but yeah, not sure why MS/EMS is so overhyped, people used to say MS jutsu's were unbeatable....lol....until they weren't. you know, like Raikage fuking sidestepping amaterasu

agreed, Jiraiya did attacks that Pain only survived thanks to linked vision. Itachi doesn't have that.

Tsukuyomi doesn't work due to Ma and Pa and/or Jiraiya constantly taking in natural energy(which would instantaniously cancel illusions).

Amaterasu will be dodged thatnks to sage mode's ability to sense the air pressure/danger(kinda like spider sense really) that's how Kabuto and Naruto do it in the manga.

Susano'o? ok, yeah just throw down a massive Swamp of the Underworld under that or summon a giant toad on top of it to disorient the Susano'o. Itachi would basically trap himself with Susano'o against Jiraiya.

Finally, how will Itachi survive frog genjutsu from Ma and Pa? while, Jiraiya is throwing attacks left and right at Itachi, Ma and Pa are preparing Itachi's instant death. Oh by the way, frog genjutsu is something you cannot escape once caught, it's rips the soul from the target, making outside/inside chakra disruption pointless.

Agreed. Greed and Ambition got the better of Orochimaru. As for Amaterasu'ing Jiraiya in the hallway, Itachi requires TIME to use Amaterasu. He closes the eye for plenty of time for Jiraiya to know whats up. People seem to forget that. As for Tsukiyomi, shadow clones are a good counter to that one, and Jiraiya is adept in their use. I repeat, both are able to win. Many factors come into play, location being a large one.

I agree with you, see I don't argue on vs. threads anymore, I simply state my opinion and leave. Like you said, too many factors come into play when it comes to a battle, and people are always going to have an opinion, no matter how elaborate your scenario is, someone is always going to have one they think is better.
