IMO Madara actually did live up to his hype as Hashirama's rival. Before you say "EMS Madara would lose to the 5 kages" which is probably true. Do you honestly see any kage beating 5 hokages? Nope not even Hashirama has that kind of power to take on 5 kages on his own. So I would just like point out some things that kind of made EMS Madara OP.
First his Katon jutsu is off the charts. Look at that range and how many people it took to counter.
People countering. Took a whole division.
Now remember Madara's war fan? It was used to power his fire techniques. Now combine with the fact Madara didn't even use the war fan to do this?? Imagine how powerful his fire techniques were fighting Hashirama.
Madara also must have had Tsuykomi and Amaterasu because according to the databooks they are requirements for Susanoo. These techniques as well all know are already OP.

He also had knowledge of Tsuykomi when he was revived.
Now we all know Susanoo is arguebly the best defence in Naruto. No one has yet to break it completely and put a dent in a full one. It has OP attack and defence options. Just think how completely Overpowered it is to have a jumping mobile Susanoo that can perform handseals.
OK.. Look at how huge Madaras Susanoo is!
What I'm trying to say is you guys aren't giving EMS Madara enough credit. He was/is insanely OP and we have to see the extent of his abilities. He was Hashiramas rival for a reason. :scorps:
