How strong do you think Minato would be right now if he was alive? He was pretty young when he died, Minato could have still advanced further beyond where he was when he died. Anyone venture to say he would have been the strongest hokage in history, if he lived long like Hiruzen?

Btw, if anyone says he's already the strongest Hokage, I'll have to laugh at you. :scorps:

Bonus - How do you think Naruto would have been like as a child and even right now, if his parents survived the kyuubi attack?

Edit: Let's assume Minato still had to seal Kurama in Naruto to save the village, and the Uchiha massacre took place anyway.

If Minato has survived then he would have been able to train Naruto himself making him stronger.

My guess is that Minato would be a incredibly powerful if he had lived. Imagine how he would have improved all of his tech's.. :O
And Naruto would also be even more of a beast than he is now, with the training of his father..

If he was still alive, he would have surpassed Prime Hiruzen, as per Jiraiya, Tsunade and A's descriptions of the calibre of his abilities. I'd go as far and say that within a year or two of the attack, he'd have surpassed Hiruzen as the strongest Hokage.
He probably would have succeeded in adding his Nature transformation to Rasengan, thus adding a THIRD S-rank technique to his repertoire.
Orochimaru's 'Crush the Leaf' plan would have failed even faster, seeing as a barrier isn't going to stop him from FTGing.

I doubt Tobi's plan would have advanced this far, since he knew of his existence and already had him marked on his back.

Well obviously he would be strong, but part of the reason Naruto got strong was the solitude. I just wonder how it would be different when it comes to gaining power.

Orochimaru would have gotten owned when he invades the leaf with the sand lol

I don't even think he would have attempted, lol

Orochimaru wouldn't get owned by Minato because he wouldn't dare to invade the Leaf while his Hokage.

He died in his late 20's, around 28-29. Anyway obviously he wouldve been stronger, but he still wouldnt make the top5, which contains the cream of the crop; edo madara (kabuto), tobi, nagato, hashirama and bm naruto.

If naruto's parents survived the fox's attack, naruto wouldnt be as op has he is today. A chain of events which was triggered that night is what has lead to current naruto. We cannot fully see how strong naruto would be, but obviously he wouldnt be this op

Yeah i don't know about Hashirama & all them, but I think he would have surpassed Hiruzen in his prime.

Also, I agree to an extent. I feel what would have happened, instead of Naruto gaining most of his power in his mid-teens, he would have been a prodigy like Kakashi for example. I think he would have gained his power earlier due to the combined efforts of Minato and Jman, but still have the end result. Whether he has parents or not, there's still gonna be tragedies and losses.

Minato die when he was like 22 so add 16 years to that he'd be 38 and the strongest kage ever.

Nobody knows what hiruzens prime exactly is therefore you cannot say this. Naruto is already a prodigy imo, although a different kind than the normal geniuses we are used to.

He died before adding his nature transformation into the Rasengan, which he originally created for that reason, so if he's still alive he would have the time to do that.

Many things that took place wouldn't have happened if he was still alive, and many things would've been different.

The upcoming movie "Road to Ninja" which will be produced by Kishi himself will most likely show us what would happen had he not died young.

We're not really sure how old Minato was upon death, just that it was quite a few years younger than the current 30 year old Kakashi, according to one of the fire daimyo's assitants. Something like 23 sounds about right. Hiruzen appeared to have been in his teens when Tobirama promoted him on the battlefield and if I remember correctly, he was 23-24 at the Bell Test for the Sannin.

@Blaze Release

I think it's a bit cheap to put Edo Madara there, and IMO, Tobi hasn't really done much on his own that was impressive. Mostly just summoning a massive entity to fight for you. xd

If minato was to live longer there won't ne any Naruto......... Some characters would have never been created such as Itachi, Kisame, Gai. J-man wouldn't have been so important.... Kakashi wouldn't have been important....... The uchiha death might have never toke place.
.
.
.
But if he did stay alive....... Yea he would have been a pretty powerful opponent and I would say in the top 5 o the strongest ever. But that's just my opponent

Pretty sure that's exactly what that new movie that kishi himself is making is gonna be about, so it's gonna be interesting to see. Remember seeing a thread like this in the past and it included Minato being able to make peace with the Uchiha clan so the tragedy never happened, Itachi actually had a happy life, and sasuke didn't turn out bad. However in the movie I noticed that Itachi was still in akatsuki meaning it must have happened. Poor guy can't catch a break can he?

In the upcoming movie, Minato isn't alive. Naruto just never met him in his mind, if I remember correctly. Or I could just be remembering something untrue. Hell if I know.
Well, Wikipedia says I am wrong. Damn you insomnia.
